An employee ruined a reputation of a good hotel

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 weeks ago

Being a traveler arround the world with a record of with 197 countries I can say that some good hotels or resorts loose its credibility with some employers that they dont deserve to be working in the field of hospitality as they ruine the reputation of their work. Right now ..during my second day of stay I asked to speak to the manager Mr .Aiemen or his vice (Victoria) maybe.. The guy at the reception ( Robert) was acting very weird like give me a minute and I call you back ..then he disappeared...and my room key was not working I came down to check and was very rude with me and was busy on the phone and putting his hand infront of my face whenever I tried to talk which really make me angry and instead of apologizing to his not coming back to me he said I cant give you your key you have to pay 100 euros then I said yes fine I ll pay Then surprisingly 😳 he said If not Im gonna call the police 👮 I was supper shocked and I was about to call the police to listen to all the cameras that are available and make a big problem as I need to go to my room dur to my low pressure that I suddenly reach But instead I said calmly maybe you dont understand English I said I ll pay This kind of employee harassment affected the hotel review and make me rate it as 1 star and I ll never ever repeat this experience again especially that I had some walnut shells in the morning with made my Gum bleed 🩸 Now I an asking Mr .Aieman and his vice to investigate and listen carefully to the camera recordings especially when I showed him the email and he was giving me himts that I am trying to lie 🤷🏻‍♀️ as this really so hateful in a " 5 " stars hotel !!! Thank you previously I am so upset ..but sad at the same time that hospitality is getting ruined by some people who don't know what does.hospitality means

Disappointing experience, not suitable for a romantic stay

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 weeks ago

I booked a room at Meliá Vienna in advance for an important special occasion. On the morning of my check-in, I received a call from a manager informing me that my room would not be available due to a problem with the bathtub. The only alternative offered was a lower-category room. This was extremely disappointing and, unfortunately, already spoiled the mood of my celebration before I had even arrived. I chose this hotel mainly because of its location and the promise of beautiful panoramic views. In reality, the view from the room was not impressive at all. Even worse, the panoramic windows throughout the hotel were noticeably dirty, which made the overall impression quite poor. It even seemed that the staff prepared the room with the curtains closed so guests would not immediately notice how dirty the windows were. Overall, this may be an acceptable hotel for a short business trip, but nothing more. It is definitely not suitable for a romantic stay or a special occasion. The Meliá Level concept also felt very poorly executed: no real priority check-in or check-out, very limited amenities, and nothing that felt special or premium. Everything felt rather plain, uninspiring, and disappointing. I cannot recommend this hotel for a special or romantic stay.

Disappointed

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 weeks ago

Extremely disappointing experience. As guests with milk and gluten intolerances, we were shocked by the complete lack of accommodation at breakfast. We were simply told “sorry, there’s nothing we can offer,” with no effort whatsoever to help. Beyond that, the breakfast selection in general was very limited, the service was nonexistent, and cleanliness standards were far below expectations. Checking in at the reception took 30 minutes as their machines were not working. Room service, the bars, and all restaurants close before 11 PM, leaving guests with no possibility to eat later in the evening. Overall, a very frustrating and upsetting stay that did not meet even basic hospitality standards.

Beautiful hotel. Fabulous breakfast. Lovely staff. Special recognition to a front desk employee Lubi who went above and beyond for us every time she saw us. She delivered an extremely high level of customer service and kindness to two very weary travellers.

Ein modernes, stilvolles Hotel

A beautiful, stylish hotel with a stunning view of the Danube. I've stayed at this hotel many times. As a Platinum member, I was upgraded to a beautiful, stylish, spacious corner room #1119, which hasn't been renovated. It's much nicer and more stylish than the renovated rooms! Delicious breakfast on the 57th floor with a beautiful view and an excellent Level Lounge. Excellent service, special thanks to Maria, F & B assistant manager, for her exceptional service and attention!
