When you head to Meliá Vienna’s 57 Restaurant for a cocktail, you’ll be drinking at the highest point in Austria. On weekends, a DJ livens up the scene, and during the week, guests are in prime position to close the deal in the Danube City Business District – the hotel is near the Austria Center and the United Nations, and after work, the recreation options of Danube Island await. Vienna’s panoramic cityscape is the standout design detail here, and walls of windows fill each guestroom with abundant light.

Our stay this year at Melia Vienna was amazing from start to finish. The frint desk staff were very welcoming as usual and then the cleaners but most outstandingly the servers who looked after us including Assal, Lorenzo, Paola and Jamaica. A great experience for our family and we will definitely return soon. Thank you for creating such an amazing experience.

Cons: I booked a 5-star hotel, keeping in mind the standards of Indian 5-star hotels. I must say, even 1/2 star hotels in India are better than Melia Vienna. It provides nothing but claims multiple things on MMT booking site. Now let me tell you the problems: 1. It's a skyscraper, but you can't go beyond the 15th floor, as going to the top is restricted to Suits only. 2. There is nothing in the room except a coffee kettle, which is useless. 3. They will ask you to drink water from the bathroom and will not provide mineral water as claimed in MMT. 4. Every time you have to ask for basic things like toothpaste, it will be provided to you after an hour. Nothing for children. 5. The hotel looks understaffed and haunted. 6. Rooms are too small, with a 3rd-class ongoing construction view outside. 7. Monotonous breakfast every day with no change in menu. 8. Average cleanliness, and it looks like an old building. 9. Multiple restrictions because of nearby and upstairs offices. 10. Overpriced and provides nothing...only one word "pathetic" Pros: 1. A very tall building. 2. Close to the Danube River and the metro.

As regular guests of Melia Hotels (Gold status and Blue Circle members), we usually expect a certain standard. Unfortunately, our recent stay at Melia Vienna fell short in several areas. What we liked: • Staff were very friendly and welcoming. • The hotel itself is generally very clean and modern. • Good drinks selection in The Level lounge. • Spacious room (1407 – Grand Premium Room Level Access) with dual-aspect views, a standalone bath and walk-in shower (both with amazing views), plus a generous dressing area and wardrobe space. What could be improved: • Carpets and cushions in our room were stained and grubby, which felt below the usual Melia standard. • Housekeeping was inconsistent: some days coffee, milk, and water were not replenished, and we had to call reception. • No turndown service or fresh towels provided on our last night. • Food in The Level lounge and at breakfast was poor quality, repetitive, and lacked flavour. • We were charged for minibar items we did not consume. • Wifi - Slow & Intermittent drops out couple of minutes, in room and public areas, makes working especially business calls difficult. Overall: While we truly appreciated the warm welcome from staff, the modern design, and the impressive room layout, the issues with housekeeping, food, and upkeep left us disappointed compared with other Melia experiences. We hope these points can be addressed so that Melia Vienna reflects the high standards the brand is known for.

If you are looking for a modern hotel close to the business district and conveniently located close to the U-bahn into town then this hotel is a good choice. I personally do not like the black shining walls in the bathroom (they turn into mirrors surrounding you, which is not what I need in a bathroom) but that is a matter of taste. And if you are visiting Vienna as a tourist, then I would definitely recommend staying in the old town and not go to this area. Want to mention the excellent breakfast here as well and the fact that I had some difficulties with reaching the parking of the hotel by car. Despite a GPS it is easy to take a wrong turn if you are nearing the hotel as it is a spaghetti of road in this area.

The hotel is dated and dirty. There was tape used on the wall above the bed. The carpeting in the hallways and hotel rooms is stained, dirty, and smells. The air conditioning is anemic and barely able to keep a room at a reasonable temperature. The breakfast buffet is overpriced, 87 euros for 3 of us and a very typical buffet. The staff is reserved and very young. The parking is not included and is overpriced. Overall we were disappointed with our stay and would not recommend the hotel.
