The Ritz-Carlton, Vienna

We could not be more impressed with The Ritz-Carlton, Vienna. We came here unexpectedly after a truly terrible experience at another hotel, and from the moment we reached out, the team at the Ritz-Carlton completely turned our experience around. Matthew and Jasper have been absolutely incredible. They immediately understood our situation and truly moved heaven and earth to make everything as easy and seamless as possible. Their kindness, responsiveness, and genuine desire to help went far beyond anything we could have expected. What had been an incredibly stressful situation was transformed almost instantly, and we cannot thank them enough. The hotel itself is perfect, beautiful, elegant, incredibly comfortable, and everything you would expect from a Ritz-Carlton. But what makes this property truly exceptional is the staff. Everyone we have encountered has been warm, gracious, and genuinely welcoming. The service is extraordinary without ever feeling forced or scripted. We are still here and already felt compelled to write this review. Matthew and Jasper turned what could have been a terrible start to our time in Vienna into something wonderful. This is hospitality at its absolute best, and we are so grateful to both of them and the entire Ritz-Carlton Vienna team.

The hotel is beautiful, including the restaurant, bar, lobby, guest rooms and even the pool. Upon check in, we were offered water, which we needed after a long flight. They also have a Nespresso machine in the lobby if you need some coffee at any point. In the room, there were also four bottles of free water and a Nespresso machine. The only negative to the room was the sofa was stained and dirty looking, which surprised me for such a nice hotel. Just after we got to the room, an employee arrived with a chocolate dessert for us to share as a welcome gift (nice touch!). The room was nicely decorated and the bed was very comfortable. They have everything you need in the room, including high end toiletries. Each night, they provided turn down service, where they restocked our coffee, water and left chocolate on the nightstand. Breakfast was fantastic. Both the A La Carte menu and buffet section had a wide variety of delicious food. Staff was also very attentive and just so nice and welcoming. Special shoutout to Francesco (supervisor at breakfast). It was a pleasure to talk to him in the morning, as he was always so friendly and polite. He was also our waiter two morning and was on top of everything. The hotel itself is centrally located. There is a nice running/cycling path right in front that leads to the Danube. There is also a large park next door if you want to take a nice stroll away from traffic. The rooftop bar was also amazing. It offers good views and the prices were reasonable. Overall, we would definitely stay here again.

We stayed four nights at the Ritz-Carlton Vienna in September 2026 and had an excellent experience overall. We had booked an Executive Club Level King room with a view and were upgraded to a Junior Suite. We arranged our airport transfer through the hotel, and it was seamless. Our driver, Max, was waiting just outside the terminal with a sign, immediately took our bags, and had the car parked as close to the terminal as possible. It was one of the most efficient airport pickups we have had. Check-in was equally smooth. Our bags were taken to the room while we checked in at the Club Lounge with welcome drinks and snacks. The location is one of the hotel’s biggest strengths. . It is next to Stadtpark and within easy walking distance of the Hofburg, St.. Stephen’s Cathedral, the Opera, and most of the major attractions in central Vienna. Our Junior Suite was spacious and very comfortable, with a large sitting room, separate bedroom, and two bathrooms. The Club Lounge was also excellent, with a substantial breakfast, good evening food, and a generous selection of wine, spirits, and other drinks. There’s no view from the lounge, however, for that you have to go to the rooftop bar. There were only a couple of minor negatives. Some of the room technology felt dated, and a few of the controls for the lights and curtains did not work consistently. The controls also take a little time to figure out, so it may be worth asking for a quick explanation when you arrive. Also the view is just ok, not spectacular like from the rooftop bar. Overall, though, these were minor issues. The Ritz-Carlton Vienna has an outstanding location, excellent service, a beautiful room, and a very good Club Lounge.We would happily stay here again.

We spent 4 nights here over the last weekend. From check in to check out our experience was fantastic. The staff at this hotel were amazing all round but a special mention goes to Francesco in Pastamara who was delightful and gave us service that was above and beyond. The breakfast was really delicious and the staff in there every morning were so friendly and again gave us excellent service especially Regina who was exceptional. The rooms are comfortable and spacious and really clean. Would definitely stay here again - just for the people who work here! Well done Ritz Carlton.

I had a very pleasant stay at The Ritz-Carlton, Vienna. It is a beautiful hotel with a classic and elegant atmosphere. That said, I did feel that some areas are starting to look a little dated and could benefit from a refresh. The location is excellent – very central, right on the Ringstrasse, and within easy walking distance of many of Vienna’s main attractions. One of my highlights was the rooftop terrace. It is a beautiful spot to relax and enjoy the atmosphere, especially after a day in the city. The gym, however, is surprisingly small for a hotel of this category.
