A very good 5 star hotel, service, restaurant and bar offerings and rooms were superb. Really good and will return.

FIX THE LIFTS
Ive just spent a week here with the family in adjoining rooms. the hotels location for Vilamoura is perfect and the Sea Views we had were really good too. The rooms were fine, maybe a little basic for 5 stars but passable, the reception are is nice but a little slow and the breakfsat was again good but getting seated a little slow. A large frustration with this hotel is the old broken lifts as there are no stairs you can use as an alternative. They take ages to come and when they do they break and you get stuck.. The lift says it can take 16 people but its weight limit is only about 4 people.. The pool area is nice but getting any type of service around the pool is challenging. The towel situation here also needs sorting out as people put there towels down to reserve beds at about 5am! I would return but it does need a lot of modernising.

Good location, but mixed experiences at Tivoli Vilamoura
Positive: • Excellent marina location with plenty of opportunities for strolling, dining, and nightlife nearby. • Friendly and attentive staff; occasionally very considerate. • Gastronomy generally good. Negative: • Clearly not a 5-star standard: worn rooms and occasional unpleasant odors (apparently local drainage issues). • Value for money: more expensive than the standard offered. • Pool area too small for the guest capacity. • In the upper floors (8th/9th) noticeable noise from ventilation or other systems; staff could not clearly identify sources. • Voucher system as compensation appears limited. Voucher system at Tivoli Vilamoura (problem case): The hotel operator offered 150 euros in compensation as multiple vouchers (10- and 20-euro vouchers). From a guest's perspective: the vouchers cannot be used 1:1 against bills. Instead, there are minimum-spend conditions that greatly restrict redemption. Official/outlined model (described from a guest perspective): For redemption, the vouchers must be combined so that the amount payable is not less than 20 euros, and the value of the vouchers is proportionate to the spend. Common practical example: For a bill of x euros, the total spend must be high enough that the voucher portion (e.g., 150 euros) is covered at least twice by the spend. In your case: to fully redeem a 150-euro voucher value, at least 300 euros of total expenditure would be necessary. Consequence: For smaller bills (e.g., 19 euros or 59 euros), no voucher can be redeemed proportionally; even partial redemption is often not possible due to the 10/20 euro voucher steps and the exclusion of 1:1 redemption. Practical impact: This approach can feel inflexible and significantly reduces the perceived value of the compensation, especially for smaller charges. Conclusion: The hotel excels in location and service willingness, but room condition, odor issues, and the price-to-value ratio noticeably dampen the overall impression. If luxury is important, you may be disappointed. A possible recommendation: first check whether the price matches the condition, and consider requesting a quiet floor or comparing nearby alternatives.

Love this place but for the cocktails!
Magical place with clean comfy rooms amazing location and wonderful staff. Would be 5 star but for the dreadfully weak and poorly made cocktails at Puro Beach and Puro Pool. Possibly the worst Sangria we ever tasted!
