We have just arrived back from this little gem. We loved how small and private the resort was. The staff all go out of their way to make your vacation enjoyable. From the moment we arrived, our butler Javier, greeted us with a smile and met us each morning to book our dinners. We are beach people and enjoyed spending our time at the largest of the 3 beaches. Pedro was always sure to get us chairs for the day and Janet and Luis at Bar Playa were always so attentive and engaging. No matter what restaurant you went to, all servers were professional and happy. A special shoutout to Roy (Les Caribe’s) for his great service. We enjoyed getting to know Juan Carlos in a very short period of time. Lachey , at rhe lobby bar made the best morning cappuccinos and Laidy always greeted us with a smile when serving our drinks. I honestly could say something about each and every person there. Such a wonderful staff. We appreciated them all. We will be back.

My husbands and I had a wonderful holiday in the hotel, full of beautiful memories. The staff absolutely amazing in every department. Beautiful sunset with music and glass of prosecco. Unforgettable aqua gym, joga, dance classes with entertainment team special thanks to Navi and Andrenxon Coll, who made our holiday real dream in paradise.

Our August vacation in Cuba left such a beautiful impression especially because of the wonderful staff which we truly appreciate with all our hearts ! Starting with our wonderful concierge ORO who with his smile was helping customers from dawn till dusk attending to everyone ! The property is well maintained with two big pools and three gorgeous beaches : two with shallow waters and main one huge ! come prepared for snorkeling as this is the most ethereal experience ; so much variety of fish , pools of sardines , also pelicans, egrets, chameleons and so much more to explore. Now back to the wonderful staff , LESTER and HIS TEAM at the Main Pool Bar are truly AMAZING with big hearts and smiles , always in rush to prepare and serve beautiful concoctions , always creating a fun, friendly, awesome atmosphere ; also the Lobby bar personal very attentive and their cocktails so delicious. The food was of the best quality and served professionally by awesome personnel we've enjoyed connecting to at meal times , especially during the day at Los Marinos and at night at the Los Caribes Restaurant! We will never forget the wonderful entertainment team , especially MARCOS with his "electric" personality, his wits , kindness and eagerness to make everybody happy ; the same goes for ANDERSON , very kind, warm , absolutely talented and thoughtful ! Our awesome suite was beautifully kept my IDEL and LUIMILYS , thank you also for always putting a laugh on our face with the beautiful towel creation : the towel ' monkey" really took us by surprise believing a true monkey was swinging in our room ... In short, come prepared for an awesome deeply personalized experience vacation at Melia Buenavista ! we surely cannot wait to come back for more fun, adventures and to meet again the wonderful people which makes a vacation memorable!

This is my second visit to this Hotel it’s such a special place with a very warm atmosphere and the staff makes you feel at home from the Buttler service to the animation staff Anderson encourages every one to participate in the daily activités from yoga to aqua gym to salsa classes and the nightly entertainment. I highly recommend it to people who really want to relax and enjoy the beaches and the daily activities.

Melia Buenavista is a precious and rare gem! I have been to Cuba on many occasions, BUT this experience is the BEST Cuba experience of them ALL. Upon arrival at this resort it was only then that we realized that we made the "RIGHT" choice of the many choices. The concierge the atmosphere was very warm, welcoming and loaded with the understanding that we were there for a vacation, to relax, to unwind, to reset, to have fun and we needed something new. Did we ever experienced something NEW! The room was nicely decorated, clean, larger than expected, had everything and even more than we anticipated. We had an outdoor shower, a sit out balcony (with ample chairs and even a lounge chair/daybed), a bath tub and a toilet and... even a bidet. First night sleep was a vacation sleep. The staff, top notch. Very professional, understanding, timely and self governing. They understand the assignment and executed with purpose. Never asking for anything, but seek to enquire how they can help to make your vacation excellent. They manage to balance their work hats with being real and engaging effectively with their guests. They get to know you quickly and serve you accordingly. No matter where they serve, they serve with excellence, discipline, order and purpose. A few shout out goes to Marcos he exemplifies excellence, very knowledgeable yet humble re ecology, animation, people skills, entertainment, well rounded and has much to offer. Thank you so much for that impromptu ecological last minute tour, a day prior to our departure, when I thought I wouldn't stand a chance, that was so generous of you! Andrenxon Coll Rodriguez, you work from your soul! Your classes are so much fun, you are thorough, engaging, giving, lively and love seeing your guests enjoy their time there. You serve without reservations and with the utmost level of respect and professionalism. All the kitchen stuff - service was spectacular! The food was a total shocker. We were not expecting every single meal to be so delicious. We came armed with our seasoning, sauces and pepper sauce. We had no need to use them at all. Not a lot of variety, but the offerings were satisfactory and the portions sensible. Bar, pizza stove, beach assistance - wow! You got to know our choices and never hesitated to ask if that's what we needed each time you saw us. AND even check when our glasses were empty and initiated to just take us more. Thank you ALL. Water in our room, you just know and responded accordingly. On hot days, you understand. Our room cleaning aide wrote us a lovely thank you note, and in English. It really warmed our hearts. This resort is clean and stays clean. The 2 sets of pools were very lovely, very clean and sparsely occupied. The three beach options were so wow! Never experienced that before. The variety adds an added tastefulness to this resort. Plus each location is different. I enjoyed the snorkel beach. The fishes were so so pretty, first time we were in OMG. The beach for divers was awesome as well, but for us we watched and enjoyed seeing the divers do their thing. We opt for a massage AND we were not disappointed. At the time of our visit it was discounted at 50% off. We totally lucked out. We took advantage of the opportunity to visit to other Melia's, though we liked them, we LOVED returning to Melia Buenavista. Being our first Adult resort, we are happy this was our first. It truly laid the foundation for us. We experienced many returned guests and cannot wait to also return! BTW: Don't let the distance from airport to resort deter you, it is worth every single minute.
