Les Sources de Caudalie, located among the vineyards of Château Smith Haut Lafitte, a Graves great growth, was established in 1999. The concept behind Les Sources de Caudalie is inspired by the "French Paradox", discovered over 20 years ago. It refers to a study proving that the French diet and lifestyle, particularly in Southwest France, is conducive to good health. Between vineyards and forests, at only 20 minutes from Bordeaux center, the architect Yves Collet created from scratch contemporary buildings from recycled local materials in tune with the surroundings. Les Sources de Caudalie is managed in keeping with the values of: well-being, generosity, authenticity, high-quality service, and emotion. Welcome to a universe where everything is devoted to nature, taste and senses.

Palace ? Not sure if it’s really deserved … here’s why
Location : is exquisite, peaceful, tranquil, rustic but at the same time sophisticated and luxurious Service : well trained staff overall especially the front desk and morning staff at breakfast… some servers at the “ Table du Lavoir “ need some finesse in their appearance quite sluggish I must say, mannerism and language quite too casual and rough on the edges Amenities : is an area that disappoint with lack of Caudalie products samples in the bathroom not at the level of a PALACE in Paris for example, sheets quality could be elevated as well as the mattress … no air conditioning available during certain period of the year which is unacceptable for a PALACE as it should be offered all year around no matter what Food : only experienced lunch and dinner at “ Table du Lavoir “ and breakfast buffet … quality is quite good as well as options and farm to table fresh refined ingredients much appreciated and well balanced and excellent execution

Beautiful surroundings and good value
Excellent hotel facilities, very comfortable ( entry level) room, good pool, beautiful surroundings and friendly staff. Bern a few times and still a knock out. Separate restaurant review, not so great.

Benchmark
One of the best hotels I have been so far. Although just a Prestige room it was fantastic, it does not need more. Direct view on the the Smith Lafitte castle ( No 12). The staff was lovely and so service minded. I was there with a dog, perfect place. You can walk within the own huge area, and also in the area of the Lafitte winery ( with a lot of nice art pieces). The „ normal“ restaurant offers great food, with more than fair prices. The Michelin one needs a reservation quiet some time in advance. Here I was to late. But the fantastic breakfast happens in this restaurant space.

Thank you to all the staff! Also I cannot understate how amazing the meal at La Grand'Vigne was. Truly a gastronomical experience.
