Divani Apollon Palace & Thalasso

Nice hotel but even nicer beach. Pretty decent price good value for money.

My wife and I stayed here for two nights at the end of our cruise holiday with Riviera travel. The first night we and other guests were woken by young teenagers rampaging through the corridors. It first started in the room next to ours then spilt out into the corridors as they ran between different rooms slamming door, screaming and shouting. We and at least one other guest, rang reception and they sent the duty manager up. This made things worse as their reaction was to up the noise and run down the corridor banging on doors to wake people. I went out just as the duty manager arrived a second time with a colleague. One boy took off down the corridor, one girl was ushered into one room and three back into the room next to ours. No parents or adults were supervising these yobs. The next day I expected a call to apologise but when it didn’t come I went to reception to complain. The manager rang me a while later. She apologised and asked did we want to move room. I was surprised to hear that the children/family would be in the room next to us that night too as they hadn’t been asked to leave. We agreed to move to an identical room with no gesture to make amends for both the disturbance and the inconvenience of having to move. To cap it all when we checked out we were presented with a sizeable mini bar bill for the first room. As we hadn’t used the mini bar we refused to pay and the manager was called. She was adamant that we must have consumed the drinks and would not accept that her staff may have made an error. What other way could we take that other than she was calling us liars! So in conclusion I would advise anyone to avoid this hotel like the plague, the manager does not apply 5 star standards when ferrel children are running amok and will not accept the word of her guests.

Beautiful pools and beach and gym. Short hours for spa and gym. Biggest problem was the food . Absolutely awful in the supper buffet. At check in told supper at 8 only time available but when arrived told no 830 it starts. Finally sent to an enormous empty room with one server who barely acknowledged us. Had to beg for water and butter. Lots of choices but all terrible tasting. Burnt meatballs, tiny fish as big as my little finger. Mystery shaved meat. Asked server what things were and he merely shrugged. No thank you. Took a glass of water back to my room to add protein powder to. Truly that bad. Save your money go elsewhere to eat.

Stayed here for our last 2 nights of holiday and unfortunately the worst hotel. Our room, executive, was not dated but bathroom could do with a regrout. It reminds me of a big airport hotel you would stay for 1 night only, maybe on a work conference. We paid 700 Euro per night and it was vastly overpriced. The list is big: No personal service Gym opens at 10?? Although was a great gym No turn down No complimentary water in room Breakfast was dreadful, bland, uninviting, limited and most salad/fruit looked like they had been prepared the night before. Half of the fruit was tinned!!! In Greece!! Coffee arrived after my breakfast. Beach was lovely but again service not great. we were never met with a smile and despite there being a buzzer on your lounger to order drinks.. no one comes no matter how often you ring it. The restaurant opposite, not part of the hotel, does great food and we ate at the Olive restaurant a few Km away which was fantastic. Would absolutely not recommend

Great Location for staying with family and friends, close to all beach clubs and top restaurants in Athens. Very good breakfast, cool pools, and great Gym; but the real disaster are the rooms, they need a major refurbishment and uplifting project; they are stuck in time from the decoration to the worn down bathroom to the old beds and even the doors; this results in low value for money for me I am afraid to say.
