Therasia Sea Resort & SPA is the best of both worlds. It is both a place and a feeling! No matter how well traveled you are, here the place will cast its spell upon you. It is the first time in my life (although having been to numerous dreamy destinations) that I could stay for hours and hours just watching the view and feeling like I could not get enough of it. There are some things that drew my attention while staying in this property: 1. The youthful staff. It was great to see all those young people highly committing to meet everyone’s needs. Always with a smile and willing to help you throughout the day. Marta and Maria really excelled in what they did (the rest of the staff were great too). 2. We were upgraded to a Premier Room which was such a nice gesture on the hotel’s behalf given the fact that they already knew we were on our honeymoon. Being thoughtful about extra details made us feel the spirit they put into what they do. Our terrace/ veranda was huge and we got to have view of the sea and the lush gardens. We would stay there for hours during the evening until midnight, just enjoying the beauty of the surroundings. 3. The hotel feels private yet not isolated and we had a regenerative and meditative experience provided by the fact that NOT in a single moment did we feel that the staff was pushy or uncomfortable. It nourished us with peace and quiet. Also, even though there may be 120 people around, given the fact that hotel’s facilities are distributed and well-appointed everywhere, you would feel like you own the place since never will you encounter a crowded space. 4. The breakfast is so good. Choices for everyone and an eye on the healthy choices for the more diet and wellness-oriented ones. I found Lamil very knowledgeable about the ingredients of different plates. He was so welcoming and nice that we could not imagine having breakfast without having him around. Noemi as well was really professional. Some staff members also spoke German besides English and that is good to know for German travelers (despite me not being German). 5. The shuttle bus to the port offered added commodity to those unwilling to go on foot for 2 km and reach the port by themselves. You only have to book in advance. Ciro, one of the drivers was always welcoming us with a genuine and authentic heart and smile. He really stood out with the extra care he provided for our luggage during our departure. 6. There are 4 pools, 2 of which with salty (sea) water. You can access the sea as well through stairway platforms. Just keep in mind that you have to climb some stairs to get to the upper-level pools, or climb down to the sea. The overall experience was really good. It was great to see the effort that almost everyone put into keeping up with the seasonal workload. We could see the gardeners at 6:00 am taking care of each flower and the rest of the staff serving as if they just had the shift starting. Alla prossima!

This is a wonderful hotel in a fabulous location with the bonus of having not one but two Michelin starred restaurants on the premises, one of which (the extraordinarily imaginative vegetarian “I Tenerumi”) we tried and enjoyed enormously, despite it being very pricey. The view from all the hotel restaurants and the bar is absolutely amazing particularly at sunset and the predominantly youthful staff go out of their way to ensure that your stay here is unforgettable. The one suggestion I would make is that it could be made easier - and safer - to swim in the sea. There was not a bathing platform in position during our stay so the only access was by climbing down a rather precarious ladder straight into the sea. But anyway, we absolutely loved our 5-day stay.

After 30 years of EU experience at 5 star luxury resorts, the place stands out for all the right reasons. It's magical !!!!!

When I say this resort has lived rent free in my mind since our stay with them in July 2024, believe it! I joke with my friends about “Sicily shoulders” which are shoulders so relaxed they are so far from my ears. The 2 Michelin Star restaurants, the private beach, the Infinity pool, the sunset over the island - everything contributed to such a magical stay.

We celebrated our honeymoon with a roadtrip stopping at 5 resorts and this one was by far our favorite. Food: Pizza - the Neapolitan style pizza is the best we had in our life… it’s a soft chewy dough that we never left the crust on the plate. The vegetarian restaurant was a great experience as well with most of the items being grown and preserved over the winter on the property. Breakfast is included and does not disappoint. Pool and Spa: Beautiful pools overlooking all of the islands with great poolside drinks and included sunblock is a nice great experience. Maria their masseuse also gave us the best deep tissue massage we’ve ever had and they have a decent indoor pool spa experience you can lounge around at afterwards or while your partner is getting a massage. Overall service was fantastic - with Maria in reception and others being very helpful. They also arranged for a shuttle for hike to the trailhead at the volcano. Room: The room itself is a bit of a mixed bag. We had a beautiful view from our room and it was spacious, our suite even had 2 bathrooms. But this was the biggest opportunity to improve as it was very dated inside in comparison to the rest of the property. All the same we are trying to come up with an excuse to come back here soon. Does not disappoint!

We just finished a 6-day stay at the Therasia Resort on Vulcano, one of the Aeolian Islands. The hotel was absolutely wonderful. From start to finish we were taken care of and pampered by Nancy and the rest of the super friendly hotel staff. The location was stunning. We thought we died and went to heaven and landed in paradise. Wherever you looked there were the steep cliffs, crystal clear water and the blue sea. We had a wonderful stay and vowed to come back next year.
