Resort experience

We did not stayed in the hotel but spend whole afternoon having lunch and ice cream. Very nice resort type environment and very professional staff. They have two Michelin star restaurants but they were closed for lunch. Nice place to stay and relax … and avoid all the craziness of Lipari

Beautiful but inconsistent service.

The views from here are undeniably stunning with amazing sunsets. This view is very hard to beat and we have travelled the world. The reception staff were very attentive and smiley!, although they forgot to send us an email detailing the trips and menus so had to ask again. It was nice to have “freebies” in the room but not always topped up.The turndown service seemed irrelevant as they just put slippers out and moved a few towels around. No chocolate on the pillow! The restaurants were very expensive including the bistro where it would have been good to have had more variation on main menu.. We have eaten in many a Michelin starred restaurants but do not like 10 course taster menus and both of the restaurants offered this and no à la carte so bistro and pizza were are only other choices. Expensive and we were a captive audience!Breakfast was all about the pastries and cakes.. The fresh fruit was pre prepared and husband and I had to swap to get the fruits we really like. Could ask but didn’t want to with language barrier.Rather choose my own like I have done in every other hotel we’ve stayed in across the world. This was the same with the meat and the eggs. Tea bags for tea were forgotten one day. Service was inconsistent. If you choose from the menu, the eggs arrived before you have collected the first course. Therefore husband’s poached eggs were cold and inedible. There was also inconsistent service in the bistro. one day I was offered a handbag stool and then the next day I forgot this facility and about to put handbag on floor and was chided for forgetting. On the third day I waited and waited. The stool was given to the customer next table who didn’t even have.a handbag.. I pointedly had to leave my bag on the table until they realised. I think I was punished for forgetting the day before. Sometimes we had bread and sometimes not whether we had a starter or not! Beautiful pools and hotel is all about the amazing view so sometimes it’s style over substance and they need to get the nitty gritty right.

So easy to sort but management fail to do so

I write this on Day 3 of the holiday - a simply lovely hotel which would be 5 or 6 stars but for one thing - there seem to be no rules on telephone usage everywhere - breakfast, lunch and even dinner - and by the pool, there is a constant ringing of telephones and, even worse, use of the speaker for conversation - most top hotels not only ban it but also police it and people soon learn - I came here for a holiday - this is becoming like a day in the office - not difficult to change and only needs a devoted inside and outside area

Fantastic place

An amazing place, a little bit of paradise. All the staff have been fantastic and attentive but we need to give a special mention to Marta whose customer service is second to none. This hotel is a treasure that everyone should discover.

Magical stay for us - thanks to the Team

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 months ago

We had a magical 4 nights - thanks to the dreamy sunsets, the breathtaking view of all the other islands (having stayed on 3), and most importantly each team member at the hotel. You were all very professional, but fun; very kind and very generous, making a birthday extra special and memorable. Heartfelt thanks to ALL. Lisa & Chris, England. Ps. Early/mid May a great, peaceful time to visit.

We just finished a 6-day stay at the Therasia Resort on Vulcano, one of the Aeolian Islands. The hotel was absolutely wonderful. From start to finish we were taken care of and pampered by Nancy and the rest of the super friendly hotel staff. The location was stunning. We thought we died and went to heaven and landed in paradise. Wherever you looked there were the steep cliffs, crystal clear water and the blue sea. We had a wonderful stay and vowed to come back next year.
