Our stay at this property quickly turned into an exercise in frustration rather than the ‘premium’ experience the cost suggested. The issues started in the room itself, which was far from a quiet retreat. There is virtually no soundproofing; we were treated to a constant soundtrack of heavy footsteps from the floor above and doors slamming down the hall. Adding to the discomfort, the lock on our sliding door was broken, which caused the room’s air conditioning to be incredibly finicky. When we tried to wash off the travel fatigue, we found the "hot" water was lukewarm at best. Despite reporting the plumbing issue immediately and being assured it would be fixed, it was entirely ignored. Stepping out of the room didn't improve the situation. The overall atmosphere of the resort feels notably dated, and general upkeep seems to be missing entirely. The amenities sound great on paper but fail completely in execution. We never saw the water taxis operating, and the trams run so infrequently that they are practically useless. Mornings by the water meant hunting for towels because the bins were consistently left empty. Even the welcome gift, reusable water bottles, constantly leaked everywhere. Dining was a daily headache, particularly when trying to navigate the $18 per person Diamond food and beverage credit. With a staggering $55 breakfast buffet, the credit barely makes a dent. When I asked the staff for the best way to actually utilize the credit here, I was initially ignored. When I pressed the issue, I was simply handed a list of restaurants rather than given any helpful guidance. To top it all off, the service was intrusive. The concierge desk operates more like a timeshare trap. Every time we approached them for simple assistance, we were subjected to a heavy-handed vacation club sales pitch, of which I ended up going to one. I was looked at like an idiot for simply wanting to buy luau tickets and not doing the sales presentation, and I finally relented. There’s no nearby beach and limited shade throughout so it was difficult to find a spot to relax. Be prepared to walk what feels like miles between different areas of the resort. When the hotel texted asking how they could improve our stay, I outlined these grievances and suggested a one-night refund to offset the glaring issues. Management bypassed the request completely. If you are looking for a seamless, high-quality resort experience that respects your time and money, I highly recommend looking elsewhere.

Beautiful property. Comfortable and very clean rooms. Loved the pond with the ability to snorkel, paddle board etc. Only improvements would be better quality blow dryer and bath towels in the room and waitresses taking orders ooolside. Be prepared for lots of wallking as property is large but beautiful to walk around. Car valet and parking is expensive.

I want to take a moment to recognize the outstanding service provided by Chasati during our recent stay at Hilton Waikoloa Village. After a stressful two-hour drive in a torrential downpour, following our early and unexpected departure from a hotel in Hilo, we didn’t know what to expect when we walked in. We didn’t even know if they had rooms available. Chasati quickly greeted us and assured us she would find us a room. She was incredible. She was attentive, kind, and made us feel welcome. She quickly helped us secure a room that met our needs and even went above and beyond to ensure we felt welcomed, including providing a lei for the full Hawaiian experience. Thanks to Chasati, we felt comfortable extending our stay to enjoy the Kona side of the island, which was a highlight of our trip. This level of service is exactly what the Hilton brand prides itself on. Thank you, Chasati, for turning a challenging start to our trip into a great experience.

We stayed at Hilton Waikoloa Village after saving our Hilton points for several years and it was incredible- scenery is wonderful you have the ocean view everywhere. We had an oceanfront room with a great view ever to see the dolphins in the morning. Downside- very limited food options and very disappointing Hilton Diamon benefits- the buffet for breakfast to use your credit is $ 60 and not worth it. There are restaurants in the rest of the village about a 20 min walk away or you need a car. Towel service was great and the pools and lagoon were so refreshing. Would highly recommend this place for a few days to relax
