Nestled along the dramatic Kohala Coast and in the piko, or center, of five great mountains, Mauna Lani is a sacred oasis where generations of families and friends have made memories together on soulful lands once cherished by the greatest of Hawaiian royalty. Greet the morning sun as it rises above the mountains' peaks from the seat of an outrigger canoe. Talk story with friends old and new at the Great Lawn as the sounds of ocean waves and laughter mingle. Dine amongst the company of loved ones at CanoeHouse, where locals have savored the island's bounty for decades. As you walk this storied coastline, breathe the rejuvenating salt air and swim in the crystalline waters, you feel the same mana, or spiritual energy, that first captivated legends like King Kamehameha I and Francis H. I'i Brown.
In the rooms you'll find an understated, natural décor that’s bright and refined, with ample hardwood, natural fabrics, and textures that embody the essence of the soulful Hawaiian escape. Our luxury residences are ideal for guests traveling with extended family and friends, or simply desire more space, and rooms located above our adult pool offer a haven for couples or those celebrating something special.

My husband I just spent a week at the Mauna Lani celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary. We had always heard about it but this was our first visit. We found the experience to be thoroughly enjoyable. The property is peaceful, blissful and tasteful. You can see the details in the decor and layout. The food was delicious, especially Canoe House! (Make a reservation in advance!) The service everywhere on property was excellent and the staff were most friendly. The Aloha spirit was apparent. We especially loved our morning canoe snorkel experience. Ian and his co-worker guide were fantastic. They even found an octopus to show us! And Christine at the surf shack rental was extraordinarily kind and helpful. Regena at the pool along with all the pool and beach staff were efficient and very friendly! We loved our morning breakfasts at Ha'lani. Terrific spread at the buffet and the omelet chef was the best! We would also like to give a special shout out to the housekeeping staff who were like invisible fairies! Our lovely room was always clean by the time we came back from breakfast and the turndown service at night was a treat each evening. We cannot wait to return for another visit.

Beautiful location of resort as well as resort itself. Loved the snorkeling, SUP and the historical information provided by Ethan. Also, loved the yoga by Dina.

multiple amenities in the room did not work, housekeeping skipped two of our five days. 20% mandatory gratuity for parties of 6 at a buffet? We served ourselves. The architecture is beautiful. Pool is way too small and too many young kids.
