Nestled along the dramatic Kohala Coast and in the piko, or center, of five great mountains, Mauna Lani is a sacred oasis where generations of families and friends have made memories together on soulful lands once cherished by the greatest of Hawaiian royalty. Greet the morning sun as it rises above the mountains' peaks from the seat of an outrigger canoe. Talk story with friends old and new at the Great Lawn as the sounds of ocean waves and laughter mingle. Dine amongst the company of loved ones at CanoeHouse, where locals have savored the island's bounty for decades. As you walk this storied coastline, breathe the rejuvenating salt air and swim in the crystalline waters, you feel the same mana, or spiritual energy, that first captivated legends like King Kamehameha I and Francis H. I'i Brown.
In the rooms you'll find an understated, natural décor that’s bright and refined, with ample hardwood, natural fabrics, and textures that embody the essence of the soulful Hawaiian escape. Our luxury residences are ideal for guests traveling with extended family and friends, or simply desire more space, and rooms located above our adult pool offer a haven for couples or those celebrating something special.

Excellent resort. Rooms were updated, nicely appointed and comfortable. Restaurants, particularly CanoeHouse, were excellent. Staff, particularly general manager, were inviting and very friendly. Highly recommend Mauna Lani for anyone seeking luxury stay on the Big Island

Gorgeous resort. Everything is high quality, well maintained, convenient and comfortable. The staff are super friendly and accommodating. The food was great as well. Probably my favorite resort I’ve ever stayed at! My teenagers also never wanted to leave. They were well entertained and loved every aspect of the resort. Highly recommend!

Great first experience at Auberge! The hotel is huge and includes all sorts of fun perks/amenities that are worth the price. The room itself was impeccably clean and was more of a suite as opposed to hotel room. All the staff were so nice and helpful. They genuinely seemed like they just wanted you to have a good time. Tip: they have washers and dryers to use there that are like what you have at home. Super convenient.

Hotel was beautiful. Amenities were a 10. Great gym, pool, golf and pickleball. Only downside was ridiculous prices for a drink. 28.00 for a well drink is excessive and feels honestly like robbery. People were bringing their ownin from outside. My suggestion is to lower to a more appropriate price and people will spend more on property.

We had another fun and relaxing stay at Mauna Lani. Our stay started off with some noise issues, but the team helped to resolve those by moving us to a new room. Thank you! The pools, beach, and restaurants are a highlight of the resort. Love the beach upgrades in the past year with the new chairs and beach club branded towels. I'd like to specifically recognize Pono, Savannah, Kaimani, and Prince for their excellent service and hospitality. We did sadly have a rate issue with our stay booking through Amex FHR that went unresolved. It was a relaxing and enjoyable stay, and we appreciate the excellent hospitality. Thank you to the team!
