The charming Fox Harb'r Resort is as much a rustic lodge as it is a resort for members of society's upper echelon. Located in breathtaking Nova Scotia, it overlooks the rugged point where the Atlantic Ocean joins with the craggy Northumberland shoreline. This stunning semi-private retreat features a cache of refined sports, such as championship golf, par 3 golf course, skeet shooting and sporting clay as well as exclusive amenities, like a private airstrip and marina that fronts a secluded stretch of shoreline. Townhouses and manor-style villas containing luxurious suites punctuate the property, offering a wealth of style and comfort. Jutting balconies, heated granite bathroom floors, wet bars for mixing mean martinis, and other unexpected treasures animate Fox Harb'r Resort's accommodations.

Most amazing experience. We were in room 10B which is a short walk to the restaurant, spa and pro shop. The room was fabulous, 2 patios, lots of space for a couple, heated bathroom floors, comfortable king size bed… and an ocean view. We also participated in sport shooting which was such an amazing experience. More fun than we imagined. Definitely would do it again. We did a wine tasting and was blown away by the wines and the host Nick. He’s a great story teller and we just had so many laughs. Nick truly made this and the rest of our trip amazing, as he took care of many details for our restaurant reservation on the second day. Perfect custom old fashioned for the gentlemen and another unique spin on some cocktails for the women. He didn’t disappoint and also guided us to some great wine choices (that didn’t break the bank). We did the spa and golf as well on our second day. Felt so relaxed and pampered, exactly what we needed. All the staff we encountered were total pros and made sure we well taken care of. Could not have asked for a better trip! 4 stars is only because of the construction which is short term. Lots of dust and noise. It will stunning when it’s all done.

We stayed for one night at Fox Harbour en route from PEI to Cape Breton. Our suite was immaculate and the location is very picturesque.

Generally nice spot, but make note of a few things: Check-in reception was very cool and quick, no explanations about anything, had to ask for a map before leaving as it was our first time there, were not told about the availability of bikes for guest use, were not offered assistance with our luggage or anything. Had to drag our suitcases ourselves. What we really didn't like that it is very spread out, our room in one building, food in another, reception in another, and the spa in yet another one. There is no place to park anywhere for the food building, very awkward. The golf course is under serious construction so we heard the noises all day long! Our breakfasts and dinner at the main restaurant were excellent, with good staff with can-do attitudes, quick service, and delicious food. The Grill downstairs was not a good experience, with mediocre food, and lousy service. Ordered a lemonade, and the NZ server brought a 7-Up, she said try it, this is our lemonade! Had to go to the bartender ourselves, who told us that indeed it was a 7-Up, to get our lemonade! This girl was totally clueless, we asked her to bring our salads quickly as we were hungry, yet it took forever and she brought our salads with our main courses! Golf was nice! The pool is lovely, yet the steam and sauna etc are under construction so no luck with that. Massage was ok, wanted the therapist to work a little extra on one area, but then she said that she could only do 2 other body parts for me to pick, and I was expecting a full body with a bit of extra focus on one area, so the massage felt incomplete. The staff in general is friendly but most could benefit from some training, maybe have the person in charge of the main restaurant train them?

The Resort is going through a major revamping of the golf course. The Resort is adding another 18 holes to their existing 18 hole golf course. They are about 3/4’s of the way to completion (as of May 2025). They have a mix of original holes and new holes, in service, to form one complete 18 hole golf course. The playing 18 holes are in great shape, considering the newly completed holes were just opened at the start of this season. The Resort is a very high quality facility, with very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Prices are in line with the quality of this facility. We wouldn’t hesitate to book, again, as long as their pricing stays within a reasonable range for their facility.

Probably one of the nicest places I have ever stayed. You will not be disappointed in a stay here. The view was incredible, the executive suite had everything you could ever need. The guest services were top notch. Food was amazing!

We just came back from this beautiful property. The room was spacious and comfortable, with wonderful touches like heated tile floors in the bathroom. The food in the lodge was amazing, particularly the seafood platter for two on our first night there. The Nova Scotia lamb was also good on our second night and when my husband mentioned it was not exactly medium rare, he was given a brand new perfectly cooked plate of fresh lamb, with apologies from the chef. Finally, since it is a golf resort, my husband assured me that the course was not only beautiful, but beautifully-maintained, even in early October. Could not recommend this place enough.
