Reviews for Mamaison Hotel Le Regina Warsaw

A fabulous hotel!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 days ago

We returned last week after spending 5 nights in Warsaw at the wonderful hotel. We travel often, across the globe and recent trips have included NYC, Prague, Budapest, Thailand, Vietnam and Greece. We have stayed in some amazing boutique hotels and this hotel is now one of our very favourites! What a gem of a find! The hotel lobby is stunning - with a grand piano and lovely sofas to relax in, the restaurant is equally lovely but the real prize is the court yard garden! Having breakfast there each morning was an added plus to an already fantastic visit. The breakfast was one of the best hotel breakfasts we have ever had. The choice even included a juicer… which we filled with berries and kiwis etc and made our own fresh juice! Our room was perfect! Spacious and comfortable, lovely outlook and nice and bright. The bathroom was huge and beautifully laid out. The shower pressure was second to none! The mattress and pillows could have been firmer but that is a personal taste. The highlight of the hotel is the spa area. Every morning I indulged in a swim before breakfast and most mornings I had the pool all to myself! The staff were all delightful - helpful and friendly. The hotel’s location is perfect. Just a short walk along a beautiful cobbled street takes you the heart of the old town. Plenty of excellent restaurants near by and even a park along the river. We were staying at the hotel the same weekend as the Iron Man and got to welcome the competitors at the finish line in the nearby park. We had an amazing visit ~ so much so that we hope not long till we can visit again! Do I recommend this hotel? …. 100 % and more!

Superb location, austere elegance, pleasant staff, not quite five star

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 4 weeks ago

Overall, we enjoyed a four night stay in Le Regina, but there were a few irritants. There is no better location for a cultural tourist - a short atmospheric stroll takes one to Old Town Square, and the hotel is also within walking distance of many of Warsaw’s other visitor highlights and to the Vistula. The hotel itself is a typical ‘boutique’ offering. The elegant design is austere and eco-friendly minimalist. Facilities include an indoor pool, a sauna and an inner courtyard. Our ‘classic’ room and bathroom (shower over bath) were spacious but with sloping walls (watch your head!). However, there was limited flat clothes storage, the desk and tables were small, the pillows were unusually soft and the window blinds awkward to manage. The 3+ day room rate of c. $250 was good value by international standards. Breakfast was a well-stocked buffet with staff support, except for a curious lack of fresh fruit (except oranges offered whole), but at c. $36 it was an expensive extra even for those with big morning appetites. Dinner was good but not exceptional, and also expensive. There are good alternatives locally. All the staff we met were friendly and helpful but we didn't test them much. The car service offered to both of Warsaw’s airports was seriously overpriced compared to metered taxi rates. We grade Le Regina as four star plus, and rate it a marginal 5/5, much influenced by its superb location, elegant ambience and pool/sauna.

Lovely boutique hotel near the old town

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 month ago

The hotel is in a great location close to the old town and accessible on foot and by car/taxi. The external appearance is lovely, as are the internal common areas. The pool and sauna area are small but nice with loungers and a lovely place to relax - including there being towels and water on hand. I was early for check-in but my room was available and the hotel gave me a complimentary upgrade to a huge room in on the top floor with desk/working area, lounge area, sleeping area and a large bedroom. I have never had an upgrade like it - it was an amazing surprise. The room was lovely, the only critique was that three of the window blinds didn't work properly and even after someone came to look we had to use a bit of a bodge for one - it didn't affect my review- these things happen - I am sure it has been fixed. I only ate breakfast in the hotel one morning which was nice but it wasn't necessarily worth the extra cost for me - the hot food was warm so it cooled quickly, I ordered poached eggs from the menu and they were under done and I found the croissants to be dry. These are not huge things but for the cost to add breakfast I expected a little more. All my interactions with the staff at the hotel were excellent, I had an issue with three window blinds in my room and they responded and assisted promptly. Checkin-in/check-out were efficient and stress free. Overall, I really enjoyed my stay and would recommend the hotel. I would use it again if I return to Warsaw.

Loved this quaint hotel

Beautiful small hotel with great attention to detail. The rooms were very clean and everything necessary (shampoo, soap, hair dryer) was provided. We loved the breakfast in the morning. So many delicious options! The location in also perfect—quiet, yet close to the market square.
