It’s always a fantastic experience staying at the Conrad and enjoying the food, drinks and relationships with the staff at Sakura Club. Guests are valued and treated with respect, courtesy and genuine care. Thank you Tom, Chef, Marco and our beloved Mimi for another great week!

How best to describe perfection? Well, you just know it when you experience it. The Sakura Club staff is beyond compare. Our Ambassador, Tom, went above and beyond to make our stay a fond memory. Mimi made every latte and cocktail with passion! Marco gave us soccer ball ice cubes in the Old Fashioneds. Chef, well is just Chef. Every night was a special visit to a culinary delight from around the world. As I told my wife on the way back to the room, "who would have thought the hotel we go to every year would be in DC, well, it's a Conrad, and it lives up to the name every single stay.

The Conrad has become my favorite DC hotel when I travel there. It is modern clean and in the heart of the new downtown area. Other hotels in the area are older and seem tired. My room had glass glasses not, plastic or none. The linins and towels were fresh and long. They still do turn down and shine your shoes if you prefer. The gym is not the best I have had at hotels, but it is complete and functional. There is a concierge available in the lobby which also seems like a thing of the past. The staff are all nice and helpful. No ice machines but they will bring you some or leave it in the room.

My wife and I have a monthly ritual of spending at least one weekend or longer at 5 star Hotel in the District… we have luxuriated at several of DC’s finest hotels From the FourSeasons, RitzCarlton to luxury boutique hotels like The Jefferson… and for the money, The Conrad ranks right up there! Its a contemporary masterpiece a museum -like atmosphere in the common area. The bars are excellent! Complete with a summer rooftop bar with city view and a common bar in main lobby! The bar tenders are super COOL! The food at the The Estuary is SUPERB! We normally dine out but why bother when the culinary selection downstairs is awesome. Not only that, this hotel is located minutes from many of the historic monuments and in the middle of the elite fashion retailers from Gabbana, Loui Vittouin, Armani, Gucci, Cucinelli… to name a few, most directly behind the Hotel!!! But The Conrads greatest asset was the PEOPLE. At every level, from departing your car to concierge to wait staff, EVERYONE makes you feel special! Some even make it a point of learning your name… its the attention to “details” that make a hotel experience AWESOME, and The Conrad does this effortlessly! Great Hotel! Awesome people! Dr. S.
