Conrad Washington DC

Only stayed at the hotel for a very brief period between work trips, but it was a lovely hotel in what I would imagine would be a very central and convenient location. The rooms were nice, but nothing very special for a 5* level. Slightly confusing hotel layout where it’s required to get 2 different lifts to reach bedrooms. Didn’t get a chance to see any of the main hotel facilities, but it seemed like lots of options. Would definitely stay again if visiting Washington DC.

The location, the doormen, front desk, and other staff were great. The floor to ceiling window in the room was beautiful. The shower pressure was amazing, one of the best! The only disappointment we had was at Estuary restaurant. I ordered the oysters, which were supposed to have meyer lemon gin granita. They put so much on, it obliterated the taste of accompanying cucumber and chili. I couldn't taste the oyster. After the first one that I ate as served, I removed the granita. The tomato and burrata was also mixed. I loved the balsamic pearls and some flavorful tomatoes. But other pieces of tomato were grocery store bland. The burrata was served too cold so the center was not soft. I was mostly irked because at the high prices, it should have been much better.

We had the most wonderful anniversary stay at Conrad Washington, DC, especially considering it came together very last minute. Our original plans had to change because my dad is currently in the hospital, and as the only physician in my family, I needed to stay close by. What could have felt like a disappointing change of plans turned into a genuinely memorable anniversary because of the Conrad team. From the moment we arrived, everything felt thoughtful and personal. The reservations and concierge teams made check-in completely seamless and arranged the sweetest anniversary touches, including balloons, a handwritten card, and chocolates. It was clear that someone had taken the time to make the stay feel special. And the thoughtful service continued throughout our stay. We ended our anniversary with an amazing brunch in bed and even more surprises. Those are the details that stay with you. The property itself is beautiful, sophisticated, and exceptionally well located in CityCenterDC, but it was the people who truly made the difference for us. Highly recommend this hotel. Fabulous amenities and close to shopping and the Capital One arena. We came for a concert and the hotel was the perfect place to stay. Furthermore the hotel made sure our 14 yr old daughter had special treats to welcome her to town. The service was impeccable. Will stay again!!
