Conrad Washington DC

Overall, an excellent hotel. The central location is very convenient. Service was great, including a welcoming check-in and an efficient breakfast at the restaurant (I mentioned I was in a rush, and they got me out of there fast). We stayed in a corner king room, which felt new and well-appointed. The room layout was odd, but I thought it imparted character, and I loved the wall of windows (quibble: not enough closet space). Room service and the gym were both very good. We stayed through the Amex Platinum program, and it was a great use of the credit. I’d love to return!

Pros: Very clean, comfortable and relatively spacious room. The toilet is in a glass commode (not sure if that's a pro or con). The desk staff welcomed me back each time I returned from a walk. It's just a half-way flat walk from the White House. They offer a turn-down service every evening, although I didn't noticed the "Do Not Disturb" button until the third morning, which would have been nice to prevent the loud knocking on my door at 8:00 pm every night. Con: Noise. Most of the rooms surround the inner atrium, and voices from the lobby/restaurant carried all the way up to my room three floors above. Noise went on until at least 11:00 if not midnight. The elevators are pretty funky. From the drop off, you have to take one elevator to the third floor to check in. From there, it's another set of elevators to the rooms. If you're going to the second floor meeting rooms, it's a third set of elevators hidden in the back corner of the third floor. It's not a con, just a bit quirky. Kind of endearing.

Love Conrad Hotels with their contemporary luxurious style. Conrad Washington is such a hotel with a staff that is very welcoming and attentive. The room size is very generous which includes a rich and amenity filled bathroom. The sunflower multi head shower with instant hot water was amazing. If you get a chance to book the executive rooms, its so worth it with 24 hour service and wonderful selection of fare. .

We loved everything about the Conrad! The room was spacious and relaxing and the view of DC was fantastic. Breakfast was also amazing! The staff were very thoughtful and went out of their way to ensure a lovely stay. Cannot wait to go back! The only thing I didn’t like was having to leave.
