The name Dupont may be the most common surname in France, but in the United States it is known as one of the toniest areas of Washington DC. At the very top of Dupont Circle is The Dupont Hotel, perhaps the only place in the city where politicos and party leaders can peacefully co-exist. Newly re-opened and part of The Doyle Collection of properties, The Dupont Hotel's modernly designed spaces are evident throughout the public areas as well as behind each and every guest room door. Contemporary appointments add another layer of luxury to the hotel's harmonious setting. Amenities are abundant with private physical training, in-suite massage and spa services, heated bathroom floors and an entire level reserved for those wanting private membership to the property.

My favorite hotel in DC. You can't do better. Great bar and food. Super clean rooms. Warm staff. Not too stuffy or too hip.

My favorite hotel in DC. Fabulous rooms, suites; cool bar. Staff are friendly, attentive, and welcoming. With GHA Titanium I receive excellent free breakfast and, quite often, upgrades to suites. Highest recommendation.

The Dupont Circle will be my new home in DC moving forward. Everyone from the front desk to housekeeping to the barman at The Doyle were utterly professional and pleasant. The room was well lit and very clean. I am a reader and I appreciate that I could read my book at night. The bed and linens were delicious. I slept like a baby and that does not often happen in hotels. I will definitely return!

We stayed at the Dupont Circle Hotel over the MLK holiday weekend. The strengths of the hotel are, (1) its location in DC, where you can walk to many places and there is a metro stop just a short distance from the hotel, (2) the staff is very polite, and (3) it has a very good restaurant (The Pembroke) and a very comfortable and vibrant bar (The Doyle). The things to be aware of so you are not disappointed are, (1) the rooms, while comfortable are on the smaller side, (2) the bar area gets very busy in the late afternoon/evening so you may not be able to get a table (you will see reserved signs on almost all of the empty tables), and (3) generally trying to call the front desk from your room is challenging as you go directly to music and then after a bit the call is ended. You are better off going down to the desk. Lots of positives with this hotel and I have stayed here twice and would stay again. The most frustrating thing I found was if there were difficulties (ours were minor) being able to speak with someone who can correct them. However, once we were able to get to the right person they were able to make the corrections. One final thing, this hotel does credits on the back end of its system (for example if you book through AMEX Plat. you get $100 F&B credit), but does not show them on the folio. This can cause confusion unless you match your receipts to the folio. However, they have always provided us with the appropriate credits.
