This hotel was stunning, with a gorgeous lobby and beautifully designed hallways. We stayed on the gold floor in a signature room, which was pleasant, and the gold floor lounge was equally impressive. The gym and pool lacked the same designer aesthetic as the rest of the hotel, but the gym was well-equipped and the pool was comfortably warm. My main concern was with the housekeeping. We stayed for four days, and while housekeeping visited daily for cleaning and returned in the evenings for turndown service, they didn’t actually seem to clean. Traveling with kids, it was obvious that despite their visits, the cleaning was done very superficially (beds made, towels replaced, nothing else, so for example toothpaste in the sink was still in the sink after the room was serviced). What I found particularly unacceptable was the issue with dirty dishes left in the hallways by other guests. On one occasion, plates with half-eaten meals remained overnight and well into the next day. On another, dishes were left from the morning of one day until we checked out the following morning. It's not as though the cleaning staff could have missed them. Unfortunately, it seemed the staff simply chose to ignore them.

Always reliable and excellent property. Entertaining lobby scene. Peaceful location that is an easy walk to the heart of Georgetown. Helpful housekeeping if you need a mini fridge or extra towels delivered. Spotless rooms. Location of parkway not too far means Capitol Hill and monuments are easily accessed. Drug stores and pharmacies also close. The best deal for a five-star in DC.

Event spaces are good but not great. Service is amazing and very engaged, not sure when the next refurb is planned but the hotel would benefit. Still enjoyed the conference and the location of the property. No turndown was provided which surprised me.

I’ve stayed at this Fairmont many times over the years. It is a very good hotel, centrally located in the West End and a good option for exploring Georgetown. The lobby and lounge areas are modern and beautifully decorated. The rooms are spacious, with very comfortable beds and the shower pressure is very good. The one area that needs renovating is the non-suite bathrooms. They are a bit dated with shower curtains and a bathtub, which detract from an otherwise upscale offering. The ambassador suite has a modern shower you’d expect from a luxury hotel. Breakfast buffet is decent (4-star quality), but not particularly memorable. I find the room service signature breakfast options tend to be better. What makes this hotel shine is their staff. Everyone from front desk to concierge to housekeeping/room service is kind and welcoming. They make the experience special and are one of the main reasons I keep returning.

Wonderful hotel on a nice quiet street with easy access to all big attractions. Common areas are beautiful, as are rooms. But the bathroom is really small especially for the suite we stayed in. However, it was wonderful to have ice in the ice bucket, which we seldom see. There are terrific outdoor seating areas which are private and have great landscaped areas and lights to add to the ambiance. A first rate choice and great price although I find the All Accor reservation system awkward and inflexible to use at times. Bus stop a couple blocks away that is excellent to travel the city.

The entire staff at the Fairmont made us feel welcome: the waiters in the breakfast room, the car park attendants, the housekeeper, the servers in the lobby restaurant, and the people at the front desk. We enjoyed all our meals there, the quiet room, and the readily available taxis. The location was great! We’d definitely stay there again with the Signature luxury perks; we enjoyed them all!
We’ll be watching for more hotels at our desired destinations to pop up again in the future….
Thank you for always promptly answering our emailed questions; so reassuring.

The hotel is lovely with very attentive staff. The lobby and outdoor Courtyard are very pretty, very pleasant places to relax after a full day of walking and sightseeing. The food and beverage credit made for a very tasty late evening dinner near the lobby bar. The hotel is highly recommended.
