From the very first moment I stepped through the doors of Fairmont Washington, D.C., I felt sincerely welcomed and cared for. The warmth shown by the staff at the lobby entrance set the tone for an unforgettable stay, and that same kindness followed me every step of the way.Every interaction—whether with housekeeping or the restaurant teams—was filled with genuine smiles, attentiveness, and a true desire to make my stay special. This wasn’t just professional service; it was heartfelt, thoughtful, and deeply human.The team consistently went above and beyond in ways that made me feel valued and at home, yet surrounded by refined luxury. Fairmont Washington, D.C. doesn’t just offer five-star hospitality—it delivers an experience of care, warmth, and generosity that stays with you long after you leave.

We’ve stayed at many Fairmont Hotels across the US and Canada, and found this one while seriously lacking in amenities, had impeccable service. We found it odd that the only place to have dinner was a lobby lounge. The menu was lacking in variety seating was not comfortable for dining. The rooms were furnished with less than comfortable chairs. The bed was great however very high. The bathroom was very standard And the toilet seat was loose, the shower curtain was loose as well. Probably the strangest thing was the thermostat was governed not to go over 72. I would think at $500 a night we could be trusted to turn the temp where we wanted it. However as I said the service was impeccable from the breakfast/lunch room, to the check in, the concierge, bell desk, and administration. All staff were so helpful and professional so that’s why no gave it a 4. But the amenities, pool, and restaurant options were lacking. Great location and immaculate.

While in town for a wedding, we had a lovely three night stay at the Fairmont Hotel in Washington DC! Upon entering the welcoming lobby, we were warmly greeted by the front desk staff, who were efficient and very friendly. Our room was spacious and very nice, with a really comfortable bed. I also used the adjoining gym, which was large and well equipped, and ate breakfast in the hotel restaurant. The house made granola is not to be missed! In fact, our server told us that the honey in the granola was made by bees which were kept on the roof of the hotel. Everything was great, but I really wanted to point out what took our stay to another level... the service. Everyone, from the front desk, housekeeping, restaurant staff, and concierge were very professional and went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. Thanks for a great stay... I would definitely return to the Fairmont on my next trip to DC.

We thoroughly enjoyed our Four Night stay at this magnificent hotel. From the we arrived the staff were attentive, friendly and efficient. The room was spacious and very comfortable. The Hotel and Restaurant were also very good. The Hotel is in a great location with walking Access to Bars and Restaurants. The many sights of the City are also easily accessoble

The hotel was fine but we ordered 2 Lobster Roll sandwiches for $34 each and there was very very little lobster involved. Less then 2 oz per sandwich for sure We had Lobster Roll sandwiches many times elsewhere that cost under $20 that literally had 4 times as much lobster First time in many many stays at the Fairmont that they really disappointed
