It’s remarkable when a hotel delivers such a consistent and high level across various aspects it’s hard to find a fault. The public spaces, my room and the dining areas were all immaculately clean and seemingly perfectly maintained. My room had a generously deep inviting bath tub and 2 different shower options. The TV was huge and worked very well. The climate control was powerful and steady. About the biggest nit I can pick with my room was that there were little motion activated lights at the foot of the bed and they tended to activate seemingly randomly. I through pillows down in two places to block the light. Other than that, every single thing I could find in 3 days worked to perfection. Do note that while this is a luxury hotel in terms of the quality of the things it has, it does NOT have some things you might assume it does. Things like a pool or sauna are not present at this property let alone a spa. There wasn’t any obvious attempt to provide for children’s entertainment or dining. Instead you get things like a private climate controlled walkway to Metro Center station, 6 fast elevators ensuring near instant elevator response and spacious genuinely enjoyable atrium seating options.

Everyone we encountered during our stay at the Grand Hyatt Washington went above and beyond to make our stay special. We received a personalized welcome note in our room with all of our names on it. When I had trouble finding the elevator, a member of the housekeeping staff walked me all the way there, instead of just pointing me in the right direction. The staff in the club lounge were exceedingly warm and seemed genuinely interested in interacting with us. The club lounge was a lovely amenity, especially the breakfast, but it was really the people that made it.

Good hotel overall. Excellent location in the city center - just across the street from nice shopping area. Staff was very responsive to our needs and concerns. Cure restaurant serves quality food in a pleasant atmosphere. Higher floors with courtyard facing rooms offer quiet stay.

All of the staff at every level from greeting at the door, check-in, escorting to the room to checking out were all very polite, and helpful. Rooms were very clean and nicely decorated. We were very comfortable as we were able to adjust the room temperature to what we wanted and the thermostat responded quickly.

Very nice hotel and centrally located for both tourism and business, only a few blocks from the White House and about a mile walk from Union Station. Typical Hyatt, a bit generic but clean and well-appointed. The only problem is that at night the neighborhood is a bit iffy, despite the fact it's barely a quarter-mile from the White House complex. But that's Washington, not the hotel's fault.
