The Hay-Adams

We had our wedding at the Hay-Adams, and while the setting was stunning and the food absolutely delicious, what truly stood out was the staff. Nearly every guest commented on how kind, genuine, and attentive they were—it made the entire experience unforgettable.

If you want perfection, stay at the Hay Adams. It’s in a perfect location near the White House. Everything in our room and the hotel in general is kept in pristine condition. The fruit in our welcome basket was perfect and could have been the subject of a still life portrait. We were upgraded because of booking with Platinum American Express to a room looking out to the beautiful park across the street with views of the White House. We were treated as valued guests by every employee that we encountered. Also with our Platinum card benefit we enjoyed a delicious daily breakfast for 2 in their beautiful dining room. We had some personal complications with our arrival and their concierge Francesca (spelled differently) was a super hero in helping us every step of the way. I cannot recommend this hotel high enough… much more than 5 stars!

Staff were friendly, efficient, and helpful from beginning to end of our visit. Room was very nice, with tasteful decor, good climate control, very clean. Our dinner in the Lafayette Restaurant was certainly one of the best meals we have eaten in Washington. Valet parking was convenient and quick. Location is excellent for sightseeing. Information and photographs about the hotel's history were fascinating.

Old world glamour meets, excellent service, with the best location possible in D.C. Everything, from the valet parking to the waiters in the restaurant were so helpful and with such a positive service attitude. They gave the feeling that nothing was beyond their ability in order to make you happy! We arrived after a long drive and were wet following a surprising rain shower that caught us with open roof panels (Jeep..) and the hotel staff were so nice and also arranged to clean our soaking car. The check in was excellent and we received a room with a White House view which was amazing! Food both in the restaurant and the bar was excellent and the staff again was supportive with our dietary requirements, as if it was no effort. Lovely! The staff also "rescued" us when there were some demonstrations outside the hotel (it is in front of the White House after all..) and the access to the hotel was blocked and we to leave the hotel in one of the streets nearby and walk back to the hotel - The hotel staff tried at first to help us through the police blockade, but when this was not possible they sent someone to bring back our car! This is exemplary service!!
