Hyatt Regency Washington on Capitol Hill

We had the best experience at this property. The hospitality was amazing especially at the front desk! Hannibal was so kind he was working every day we were there! The staff’s genuine care to make sure we were comfortable was amazing! They had the cutest touches with Fourth of July bracelets, sunglasses etc and free popsicles 24/7. When we came back from the fireworks it was so cute because they were waiting with trays of frozen lemonade and cookies to greet us all. They were so happy to serve. Then they gave us waters whenever we needed and always offered more. Which was awesome because of the heat! Doe was also great in the restaurant! Really they were all so amazing. Then to come back to our room and find red white and blue Hershey kisses was such a nice touch. The room was very clean and comfortable. Very updated! We will be back!

The hotel is under massive construction. My room was uninhabitable due to construction immediately above my bed. Management had to move me for my final day/night. They should never have assigned me the room in the first place. To make amends, they offered to load my account with 24,000 points for remuneration--those were to have appeared weeks ago. I'm still waiting for them.

New, clean room. Quiet, good soundproofing Firm cool bed. Giant TV but I was too busy to turn it on. Great A/C in room and in lobby area. Convenient location to my meetings, also close to Union Station, Capitol, Mall. Free water bottles were nice given how hot it was outside! Pool/gym atrium area looked nice but I didn't have time to use either. Breakfast buffet was nice. One price ($25) for meats, smoked salmon, eggs, fruit, pancakes, oatmeal, cereal, juice, cream cheese, and I think breads (I wasn't looking for them). You have to ask for omelette, and they'll bring you coffee or tea. There is construction going on in late June 2025 and onwards, so there is scaffolding, plastic barriers, there was a brief water outage (when I wasn't there anyway) and some construction noise during the day. None of these bothered me.

When this hotel isn't under construction, it is an average hotel experience in a great location. I would recommend waiting to stay here until the construction is complete.

Rooms very clean, convenient location and loved the hotel store having all the essentials especially great coffee. First valet experience very please got our car so fast when ready to leave and no new damages
