The location is stunning and the views of the Wharf are genuinely impressive. That's where the highlights end. From the moment we checked in, the front desk staff made us feel unwelcome. The treatment was cold, suspicious, and frankly condescending in a way that felt discriminatory. As Mexican travelers, we couldn't shake the feeling that we were being judged before we even opened our mouths —as if they assumed we couldn't afford to be there. The billing process was confusing and stressful, with holds and charges that were never clearly explained upfront. The one person who deserves recognition is Aidan at the door —genuinely warm, professional, and a complete contrast to the rest of the experience. He alone reflects what hospitality should look like! I've stayed at InterContinental properties before, including Edinburgh, and the difference in service quality is night and day. This property charges luxury prices but delivers something far from a luxury experience. Save your money and your peace of mind. There are better options in D.C.

All aspects of service at the hotel were top notch including checkin, the Restaurant/Bar and Shujaat at the Concierge Desk. Fitness Center was very good. Pool bar was not open which was disappointing. Overall a wonderful stay and would definitely return!

My wife and I were in DC for a wedding. The hotel hosted the wedding party and many guests. The entire experience was first class. The facility is amazing and the staff are truly one of a kind. If you want to be welcomed to DC with open arms, close to all of the attractions the city has to offer, stay at the Intercontinental at the Warf.

Khan the concierge went above and beyond to make my stay incredible. He was so polite, attentive, and genuinely welcoming from the moment I arrived. He took the time to make sure every detail was perfect and offered excellent recommendations that made my trip even more enjoyable. His professionalism and kindness truly stood out, and he made me feel valued as a guest. I can’t thank him enough for the exceptional service and hospitality.

I really enjoyed my stay. The property is very well-maintained and my room was clean, spacious and well stocked. I truly appreciated that there was an electric water kettle in addition to coffee supplies so that I could make a proper cup of tea. The staff was all very friendly. The front desk and bellmen were all so friendly and gracious. Two people who stood out Baraki and Trey. I wish that I knew/remembered the name of the bellman who helped me upon arrival on Wednesday 5/27 at approximately 4:30 (he was young, about 5'8" and had dark hair). The meeting facilities were good, although one west facing window had a broken shade that made it uncomfortable as the sun was setting- sunglasses were necessary during the event. Next time I have to travel to that part of DC, I will happily stay again at the intercontinental
