InterContinental Washington DC - The Wharf

Just checked in. Aziz greeted me, took bags up to room. Very friendly and helpful as was the desk agent. Room excellent as well.

Hotel is fine. Location is very convenient. Other than the door man and the woman that checked us in, the staff was very rude. The room was fine, the big draw was the very nice bathtub. Parking was $75 per nights. Per fee was $75. A mandatory resort fee was $35. Plus tax we paid an additional $200 to stay for one night making our grand total over $800. Not worth it by any means.

My wife got the chance to sneak away for a weekend, which she really needed as a mom of three kids under five. I just wanted her to feel cared for, and Sujaat Khan, the head concierge, made sure of that. He went out of his way to make her stay unforgettable. She came home recharged, glowing, and couldn’t stop talking about the pool and the views. Honestly, she couldn’t have had a better experience. Big thanks to Sujaat and the team for making it happen!

Wonderful stay from start to finish. Service was outstanding all around. Enjoyed breakfast in the morning at Willowsong and the pool in the afternoon. Already planning a return trip. Special thanks to Stefan, Ercan and Safa. A truly memorable anniversary celebration!

We recently returned from a two night stay here as a family of 4 and we loved everything about our stay. Despite the great online reviews I was a little skeptical about this hotel, not having stayed in a IHG hotel before but I had nothing to be nervous about as it was fabulous! In fact out of the 4 hotels we stayed in across America during our road trip, this was hands down my favourite. Our room had two queen beds which were really comfy, lovely and spacious with fantastic views of the wharf from the 9th floor. We had a small issue which was rectified very quickly. Staff were very welcoming and personable. Benjamin in concierge was a friendly character. In fact all of the staff we had interactions with during our stay were a pleasure to deal with. We were really impressed with the hotel and facilities. Loved the ByRedo toiletries in the room and the location was perfect - even close enough to walk to the football stadium which was a bonus. Would absolutely recommend this hotel to others and I will l now look at other IHg hotels when booking for future holidays.
