InterContinental Washington DC - The Wharf

Intercontinental The Wharf is a perfect location for any visit to DC. The Wharf is clearly the area everyone wants to be. The restaurants are incredible and being on the water creates a Mediterranean feel. Shujaat at the Concierge Desk made my stay memorable and he gives me a reason to want to come back so I can benefit from all his great recommendations. Too much to do in just one trip! Thank you Shujaat and the team at The Wharf for an incredible stay!

Had the good fortune to stay here for a night and had a great stay - got to meet the famed Shujaat Khan at the Concierge Desk - and he was great to work with! So informative and friendly! A nice quiet and spacious room too! Great views, near so many great dining options!

I had an excellent stay at the InterContinental Washington D.C. – The Wharf. From check-in to check-out, the service was consistently warm, professional, and attentive. Every staff member I encountered made me feel genuinely welcomed and went out of their way to ensure I had everything I needed. Special shout out to the Chef Concierge, Shujaat, for taking care of me! The hotel itself is beautiful, with spacious, comfortable rooms and well-maintained amenities. The location at The Wharf is hard to beat—steps away from outstanding restaurants and waterfront views. I appreciated the attention to detail, the overall hospitality, and the convenience of staying in one of Washington's best destinations. I look forward to staying here again.

My wife and daughter selected the team at the Intercontinental Hotel / The Wharf in Wash. DC for our daughter’s wedding. I wish they had started their search for a wedding venue at The Intercontinental, but they didn’t because they vowed to complete a thorough search and pick the right venue for our friends and family. They weren’t looking for perfection, they wanted a seasoned team that had experience with high end weddings. My wife and I wanted our guests to be well cared for…we certainly made the right decision. From the Front door Bellmen team to the Front Desk and the banquet Team…everything was perfect. The bellmen always called me by name “Mr. Jim” and were extremely helpful. The front desk team was efficient and very professional. Making sure all of our guests received their wedding “Welcome gift”. The room service was wonderful and the entire Food and Beverage team was terrific. Special shout outs to Liliana, Jacky Diaz, Azziz and all bellmen, Lily, all of the bar tenders at the reception, and our maid service team. They were all smiles every time we needed anything. As a formal hotelier….I say “WELL DONE!” and many thanks for helping us create some great memories.

From the moment we approached the attendants at the door the entire experience was top notch. The man at valet, we called poppa because this is “his hotel”, remembered us from moment one and had every request handled right away. One attendant, a young man named Aiden, was particularly friendly and helpful, greeting us like friends he’d had for years. The area is world class. One stop entertainment for your whole family.
