Le Meridien Washington, D.C., The Madison

We spent one night at a very nice Marriott property in downtown Washington D.C. called: Le Meridien Madison Hotel. It was walking distance to all the major sights of interests. I actually made this booking because our flight the day before was canceled so we needed to stay for one night to catch our next days early afternoon flight to New York City. The Check-in process was seamless, and we were upgraded to a loverly suite on the 7th floor. We soon discovered our suite was quite spacious and had a nice view of downtown Washington, D.C. My grandson and I both enjoyed the modern decorations used throughout the suite, especially the six black and white vintage travel photos displayed in the living room of the suite. The hotel also had two nice restaurant’s, the “Lady Madison” and the “Club Lounge Restaurant” both located on the ground floor of the hotel. We used both restaurants during our short stay. The first morning and early afternoon my grandson and I simply walked around the area close to the hotel; we did some shopping and then that evening I invited our very best friends over to the Lady Madison for dinner. The next morning, we both had a nice breakfast in the Club Lounge Restaurant and decided to go early to the Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport in order to ensure that we would not have any problems making this simple short flight to La Guardia Airport in Queens near New York City. Our check out from the Le Meridien Madison Hotel was fast and professional. We had arranged to have an Uber vehicle take us to the airport. I highly recommend the Le Meridien Madison Hotel for anyone wishing to have a very comfortable stay in Washington, D.C.
