This will be our 4th time returning to Melrose! Between Mahmoud making our stay feel warm and welcoming, to Chanee being charismatic, and always smiling, we enjoyed every second, a vacation that was much needed. See you guys again soon!

The historic decoration, the workspace amazing, with the US constitution painted on the wall felt really inspiring, made feel part of history

Perfect location: easy to go anywhere. Very comfortable room, wonderful coffee in the Lobby with several ‘sitting room’ areas to meet, sit, or just rest. Quiet. Very helpful staff everywhere. … And an extra Plus… Trader Joe’s is around the corner if, by chance, you’re in need of ‘a night in’….

The location is excellent, but unfortunately, that’s where the positives end. This property does not live up to its 4-star rating, so I would caution others not to rely too heavily on that designation. The rooms feel dated and were not particularly clean, and there’s no real way to control the temperature, which made the stay uncomfortable. There were also several maintenance issues—such as a closet door off its track and a torn shower curtain—that suggest a lack of attention to detail and oversight. While the Molton Brown toiletries are a nice touch, basic amenities fell short. I’ve experienced softer tissues and even complimentary bottled water at many 3-star hotels, which were noticeably absent here. Parking is limited to valet only, at a steep $94 including tax. The hotel also appears understaffed—there was no clear point of contact upon arrival, and retrieving my car took about 30 minutes despite no apparent demand. Although the lobby and bar have an appealing aesthetic, the overall experience does not align with what one would expect from a 4-star hotel.
