Great location, friendly staff
This place is in a great location to get to cute restaurants and shops of the Adams Morgan neighborhood and to walk to the zoo. Affordable and clean. No bells and whistles but super friendly staff and actually a pretty decent breakfast for an American hotel.

The Normandy
The continental breakfast should be better. Not even scramble eggs. And the rooms should be cleaned everyday. Mine was not one single day.

No heat; bad odor
No heat, and bad odor coming from bathroom plumbing. Hotel advised they had two separate systems for heat and a/c, and switched to a/c thinking the weather would be warmer. They gave an extra blanket for the second night, but it was not an ideal stay.

Great time!
Super nice staff, they keep the rooms spotless, and the grounds are calm and relaxing. Would definitely stay again the next time in DC!
