Incredible Service

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 day ago

I rarely leave reviews, but this stay truly deserves one. The staff went above and beyond at every possible opportunity and were simply incredible. We booked through Fine Hotels + Resorts and were upgraded to a spacious suite without even having to ask. They granted us the 4:00 p.m. late checkout without any hesitation and were exceptionally accommodating of our special dietary needs at breakfast. They even went out of their way to order food for us the night before so it would be ready the following morning. Their text line was answered immediately every time. I accidentally left behind an AirPod, and within five minutes of contacting them, they had located it and were ready to ship it back to my home. Outstanding service from beginning to end. Bravo!

Another great stay at the PH Georgetown

Another great stay at the PH Georgetown. The rooms could use a refresh but the location and delicious food at Blue Duck make up for anything minor.

Very good city hotel; not my favorite in DC

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 week ago

I stayed a night here because i remember staying here years ago and that I had liked it. It's a very good city hotel but it wouldn't be my first choice if i were returning to DC. There are many other hotels right nearby and competition is probably fierce. My Georgetown Suite was a beautiful suite with 4 rooms (living room, office, bedroom and 1 1/2 bathrooms). All pretty bright and decorated Park Hyatt style (not so good if you don't like brown). The problem here is that there are no doors so if the shower drips or someone is doing something in the living room, it's all open. The gym is adequate and the pool is open till 10pm and is small and could be heated more. There is a small jacuzzi as well. The Ritz Carlton is a few blocks away and has much better fitness facilities and there is food in the gym. The Park Hyatt has a restaurant but the menu prices are really high and there is nothing quick and easy available in the hotel. Would you say that a fish, side of spinach, salad and dessert should cost over $110 for one person before tax and tip? My salad and desert were the small portions given to those who had been on the restaurant week menu making me feel that I wasn't getting value for my money. This would be a hard place to enjoy for several days at those prices. You just blow through the Amex platinum credits here with next to nothing. It is an 8 minute walk from metro's Foggy Bottom station and Ubers and taxis are easily available. It's a good hotel but there are better choices if you're staying more than a night in DC.

A great place to stay!

Stayed here multiple times and it was always great. Staff are pleasant. The suites are spacious. Always a comfortable stay! Quieter side of town with lots of restaurants and stores nearby. My son loved the pool.

Dissapointed

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 weeks ago

The hotel and rooms were nice, but the customer care did not meet a five-star standard. (-) Rushed at dinner despite the restaurant being well below capacity. Ended up leaving because of this. (+) Morning breakfast staff were great and went out of their way to rectify the previous experience. (-) Responded to GM e-mail about importance of customer care and requesting feedback for anything that fell short of an exceptional experience. Never received any reply back.
