Reviews for Riggs Washington DC

One of the best hotels in downtown DC

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 4 days ago

This has become our favorites go to hotel In DC. The service is incredible and they remember you when you come back. Cafe Riggs is one of the best restaurants in the area! Service and food are exceptional! The decor of being in a historic bank is beautiful and you are close to everything!

Great hotel for a family of five

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 week ago

A five-star experience for me and my family. I booked the Riggs based on the fact I could get a guaranteed connecting room for my family (2 teens, 1 child), the location is excellent (can't beat being so close to the national mall, Ford's Theater, National Portrait Gallery) and so many wonderful restaurants. Rooms were beautiful and quiet. Staff was friendly and very responsive. My favorite interaction was with Mary, whom I called for room service and she personally stood behind the cauliflower steak like her life depending on it (she wasn't wrong, it was delicious!). Champagne upon arrival was a nice treat. We would stay here again.

Amazing stay

I just wrapped up an amazing 2-night stay at this hotel, and I can’t say enough about the incredible team here! From reservations to the front desk especially Iliana and Mohamed the restaurant crew, and housekeeping, every single person went above and beyond. Truly exceptional service all around!

Terribly disappointing customer service

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 weeks ago

Terrible customer service and policies at this hotel. If your flight is canceled and even if you booked a "flexible" stay, this hotel will simply deny any type of credit and tell you too bad. Their customer service reps are robots that repeat the same thing and over and don't even engage in the substance of the matter. It's a mistake to believe this chain is "five stars", when it's customer service anything but that. A disappointment.
