Riggs Washington DC

My stay at the Riggs was outstanding. I chose it for its central Penn's Quarter location, close to major DC attractions like Ford’s Theater and The Smithsonian Portrait Gallery, as well as nearby restaurants and shops. The hotel has been impressively upgraded since my last visit eight years ago when it was under a different brand. The decor was very stylish and reflected the building's historic bank roots. Most notably, the entire staff was exceptionally welcoming and helpful throughout our entire stay. I look forward to returning.

The location of the Riggs is perfect. We did two tours and nothing was far from the Riggs. The folks there were so helpful with restaurant choices and room help. The rooms were beautiful and clean and perfectly appointed. We would definitely want to stay there again next visit.

Excellent hotel. Staff are very attentive and friendly. Everything was spotless, beds were super comfy, and the hotel was beautiful. We were surprised with some complimentary pastries and fancy water in our room. Cafe Riggs, one of the two on-site eateries, is absolutely delicious. We went for dinner and breakfast and were blown away.

This is the second time we’ve stayed at the Riggs, and both times were exceptional. The location is perfect, the rooms are very tasteful and the staff is very accommodating. The Cafe Riggs & the Silver Lion speakeasy are a bonus! Highly recommend.

Loved our stay at Riggs Washington DC! From the moment we arrived, everything about the experience was exceptional. The rooms were incredibly spacious and spotless—a perfect blend of comfort and style. It’s not always easy to find a hotel that nails both design and functionality, but Riggs delivers on both fronts effortlessly. One unexpected highlight? It’s dog-friendly, which was such a bonus! Traveling with our pup can be a challenge, but Riggs made it seamless and welcoming. Breakfast was fantastica, special shoutout to the pancakes, which were genuinely some of the best we’ve had. Light, fluffy, and the syrup was a blend of maple and caramel. The lunch cocktails were also outstanding, balanced, creative, and served with a smile. The overall restaurant quality and service were top-tier, making every meal a treat. It’s also the little thoughtful touches that made a big impact. For instance, when we were checking out, our car was already pulled up and ready to go without us even asking. That kind of attention to detail goes a long way. We wouldn’t hesitate for a moment to recommend Riggs Washington DC to friends, family, or anyone looking for a special stay in the city. Hopefully, we’ll have the opportunity to return soon. It was truly a memorable experience!
