Reviews for The Ritz-Carlton, Pentagon City

Exceptional Tea Experience

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 month ago

Two adults and one child attended the Cherry Blossom Tea at Sante . It was delightful! The food was artistic, beautiful and delicious. The child received a teddy bear in a blossom decorated kimono-type jacket. The teas were flavorful and plentiful. Service was excellent. Although the atmosphere did not have a high tea ambiance, the room was quiet enough for easy conversation. It is a dark room, but not depressingly so. I would gladly repeat the experience. Pricey, but worth it.

Great location if you like mall shopping, great diptyque toiletries. Service could be more gracious.

Room amenities are nice. Doorpersons are lovely. Connects to a giant mall without needing to go outside. I stayed here for one night as a reprieve from the big conference hotel site I stayed at. Despite all the nice aspects, some things are lacking. The menu for room service and the hotel resto is narrow. Housekeeping banged on my door loudly before check out time despite a do not disturb sign, turndown service came by at like 8:30pm — both times scared the bejeesus out of me.

Great but not Excellent - Need to Work on Upgrade Experience for Regulars.

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 month ago

I stay at the Ritz-Carlton, Pentagon City at least 2-3 days per month on a regular basis. The hotel is in a great location. The Staff are always pleasant and professional. I hesitate to give the hotel 5-Stars due to the inconsistent upgrade policies. As Lifetime Titanium Elite Member, the hotel does not service Upgrades well and at one point I received an Upgrade to the Concierge Floor. The next month was denied an Upgrade. I checked online and there were at least 6 rooms available for Upgrade. Bar service is excellent - Cameron and Robert are stellar; Restaurant food and Staff are consistent and service is professional. Valet and Bell Team Members are always pleasant and professional.

Expensive but worth it

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 month ago

Expensive but what you would expect from a Ritz. Brought my family in to visit and needed 5 rooms. After a terrible two nights at the Doubletree I felt like I had to make it up to them and moved them a couple blocks over to stay here. Just the basic things were so much better. Clean entrance to the hotel, fresh linen on the bed, free water in the room. Normal costs for coffee $5 and monster $5 that you would expect at a hotel. Just all around a great stay and should have come back here from the start. Great staff who are always welcoming and willing to go the extra mile, with no reservations arrived and they were able to make it possible for all five rooms to be on the same floor

Nice place.

I stayed and attended a three day meeting at this location. It’s a nice and high class hotel. All staff members that I encountered were very professional. It’s clean and the decor is nice. The meeting spaces are also nice. It’s connected to a mall with a food court for fast access to food.
