The pool and dining room was under construction during our stay which was unfortunate. The hotel was otherwise beautiful, catering to an upscale demographic. The service was excellent and the staff went out of their way to ensure everything was just perfect. The room was clean and modern with all amenities provided including bottled water. Although I can afford it my only negative was the excessive parking fee of nearly $80 dollars a day. Would definitely come again when in DC but would park offsite in one of the nearby garages to avoid the money grab.

We wanted a 5 star experience similar to Willard. Its just not the Willard or Hay Adams. Its new hotel and provided quallity and clean rooms.

Nate on the Salamander staff was incredibly kind and his service impeccable. When I asked if the CVS near the hotel had closed he promptly took me in the shuttle to the one on the Wharf and even waited while I made my purchase. Nate is a fantastic staff member!

I was thoroughly impressed with the Salamander Washington DC. The staff was incredibly friendly and thorough in everything they did. Unfortunately, the Lounge left a lot to be desired. It is a space that has so much potential and just did not compare to the rest of the hotel's amazing amenities. Overall, I will definitely stay at the hotel again and would recommend it to anyone visiting DC for work or leisure, but I would rather grab a drink at the lively DC restaurant scene then the hotel's lounge.

Enjoyed my Mother's Day weekend - decided to do something different this year and actually enjoyed myself. Walked along the Marina, had dinner and breakfast in the restaurant (temporarily on 8th floor during refurbishment). Appreciated Eskader's attentiveness - she clearly enjoys her role at the front desk and seeks to ensure clients have the best experience. She was welcoming, warm and personable, made sure to go over various logistics and was kind enough to guide me to the footbridge which would lead me to the other side of the road.

Not up to the standards of our stay at previously booked luxury link hotels. No in room coffee bar, no mini bar, blamed everything on Covid, and they were a new hotel, we would not stay there again. Definitely not 5 star, location good, no ice maker you had to call for it.
