Wonderful hotel and amenities. The rooms are top notch, and great drinks at the lounge with an inviting atmosphere. Walking distance to The Wharf, Washington Monument and the National Mall. One of the best I've stayed in anywhere!

We did a staycation for one night. Wanted to stay in and watch movies, but couldn’t connect to the TV at all. Their airplay and chromecast were both not working. Asked me to download an app which wasn’t even available in the U.S. App Store. Other reviews from 2024 reported similar issues. Room phone wasn’t working, I had to call front desk after googling the hotel number. However, the staff were exceptional. The only positive experience were the staff.

Great hotel in a great location! We were able to walk everywhere! Experienced the Warf for the first time- a super cool area with lots of energy! We experienced great restaurants down on the water and found that it was a short walk from the path right outside the Salamander courtyard. We also walked to all the monuments and found the proximity to the National Mall to be very close. The spa treatments were amazing and we felt like we had the whole place to ourselves… the lobby was bustling with a few business groups in and out over the weekend but that’s DC for you! We didn’t eat anywhere on the hotel property just because there were so many places to explore around the Warf area, but it was crowded and full in all of these areas all weekend. This is a great place to splurge on a weekend away- we have been to the Middleburg location as well and loved DC just as much but they are of course rental different vibes! I will say that the valet parking at the DC location was very pricey! Almost $100/day- which is a bit outrageous if you ask me. Of course I didn’t know this before we arrived but like I said, if you’re willing to splurge for an upscale experience, Salamander DC does not disappoint!

Not up to the standards of our stay at previously booked luxury link hotels. No in room coffee bar, no mini bar, blamed everything on Covid, and they were a new hotel, we would not stay there again. Definitely not 5 star, location good, no ice maker you had to call for it.
