We make it a point to stay at Historic Hotels upon every city we visit. I can’t begin to tell you how wonderful our experience was here at the Willard Hotel. From the moment we entered the Hotel we were treated like Royalty. I booked a reservation direct about six weeks prior to arrival. An amazing reservationist “Jennifer” helped answer all of my questions and booked our reservation. Luciana checked us in and WOW~ the room we were granted was out of this world! Corner 1 bedroom suite with a view of the Washington monument. The other view was also amazing -towards White House. We were celebrating our 44th anniversary and what better place to celebrate than DC. It’s a very safe & clean city now!! Do not miss Breakfast & Dinner at Cafe du Parc. Amazing coffee, pastries- don’t leave without a box of macaroons! YUM For dinner we had a 3 course meal outside on the patio. Romantic, Delicious food, and Excellent service. Although the Round Robin was closed for renovations- My husband was able to have the famous mint julep prepared right off the lobby. Definitely visit the grand hall- "Peacock Alley”-there’s a great little historic timeline of the Willard Hotels history. Much has happened here so it’s a must see. The concierge office is located right next to reception. Robert was so kind to help us with a guided tour of the Capitol building. Do not hesitate to stay at this GRAND HISTORIC Hotel. Location is the absolute BEST in DC. I want to personally Thank Luciana at the reception desk for her Kind heart, Warm welcome and above all EXCELLENT service. She’s a huge asset to this most amazing “Willard Hotel.” Thanks again to every employee for treating us like Royalty. ♥️

We had our son’s wedding here. Top notch service and planning. The bell staff was excellent. Everyone smiled, was pleasant, gracious and helpful in every way. The coordinators of the wedding and reception were fantastic. Special shout out to Lauren who worked tirelessly with a smile for probably 20 hrs straight. She was amazing, not enough thank you’s and praises would suffice. Great experience.

we went to the restaurant cafe du parc and our server was martin. he was very smiley and thoughtful with his service; when we asked for warm water, he included honey and a lime with it. he always made sure to check in and made this experience truly one-of-a-kind.

First of all this hotel is absolutely opulent, and despite construction it isn’t even a disruption at all. They’ve done a phenomenal job at mitigating any disruption. The check in desk was so kind! We came in to celebrate an anniversary and don’t normally stay at such nice places. They were just as kind even if we looked slightly out of place at times. They sent us strawberries and drinks for our anniversary! The room was incredible. It was so nice and the Frette linens were a highlight. It was very quiet, I couldn’t hear anyone else and at one point a wedding was going on downstairs with music. The hotel and details are stunning. The floors specifically have been meticulously restored and the history and pictures were so interesting of the hotels history. The cafe for breakfast had some of the best scrambled eggs I’ve ever had! Everyone was incredibly kind, they made the whole experience so enjoyable. I can’t thank them enough. I highly recommend this place to everyone. Many DC attractions were closed due to the Grand Prix and or walled off (and have been), but I didn’t even care missing out on sights because the hotel was so great. It’s worth every penny!
