New experience

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 6 days ago

This was my first time staying at the Yotel. It was clean and the staff was very friendly. At first, I was concerned about not having staff because of the self check in kiosk, but there was always someone at their front desk, which they call Mission control. The room was modern, minimalistic, but very functional. The smart bed was the highlight. Being able to move it to a sitting position was so much fun. there was a small closet with the refrigerator, ironing board, and iron and safe. I would suggest if they could put a hanging bar over the small area where the ironing board was, it would give an additional hanging space for clothes. There was an open closet area with a bar immediately next to the closet and a bench underneath the room did have one chair and table, but also included a chase. There were plugs in USBs on one side of the bed in the armrest. It would be great if there had been one on the other side also. The LED lights were fun within the room and I appreciated having a remote for them right at the bed also. I would love it if the bathroom light would dim because it was very bright. The shower was spacious and it took just a bit to figure out how to make the water get hot by pushing the button down within the handle. A little modern, but not that hard to figure out. Overall, I enjoyed my stay and will be happy to come back. The location is amazing. You walked out and if you stood in the middle of the street, you were facing the capital a block and a half away. The Hyatt was right across the street.

Disgraceful, do not book here

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 weeks ago

Absolutely disgraceful. The WORST HOTEL EXPERIENCE EVER. Ignore any mention o views , pool or deck/bar. And expect D-Grade staff . Booked in July 4 weekend , got there and the pool, rooftop bar/lounge was out of bounds as they, in a cash grab were holding a hop hop doof-doof pool party with blaring music ( at a cost to hotel residents!). Supposed to run 3-9pm… oh no. And the hotel response to complaints was disgraceful and insulting, as if they had no control. No refunds no apologies nothing but abuse from the 3rd party company holding the event ( every day sun in summer) and weak almost scared response from the hotel staff.. pathetic. Do NOT let cheap prices sway you. After 2-300 hotel stays in my 50-60 years, this is THE worst place ever….find a motel 6 or super 8… they are run by more professional people than this dump staffed by arrogant uncaring staff in a money grabbing business. Ps we booked a room with a view…. Enjoy our views and grubby framing.

This hotel does not return the $ they take to cover room charges even when there are no room charges!!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 weeks ago

I checked out on June 14th and I still have not received credit for the $151.50 room hold that was applied to my credit card. I called and was told that someone would call me back. Instead of a call back, I received an email from Imani. Imani insisted that a credit was sent to my card for $200, even though the charge noted was $151.50. I advised Imani that there appeared to be an issue on the hotel side and requested that a review be completed. Imani advised me that I should reach out to a manager, Mr. Adams. I sent Mr. Adams an email and still have not received a reply. My credit card shows no credit. I travel quite often and I have never had this issue. The missing credit is a shame, as my experience at the hotel at check in and check out was very pleasant.

No Pool for hotel guests 5-9pm Fri., Sat., Sun. ALL SUMMER!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 weeks ago

The pool is rented out to a third party on Friday, Sat. & Sunday from 5-9pm all summer long. A wild disco party is held,, Where hundreds of local people arrive as early as 3pm clogging up sidewalk outside and lobby creating a very less than family atmosphere. This rowdy pickup scene continues while waiting for elevators where hotel guests have longer waits for the elevators. Friday night they had trouble clearing hotel of pool party guests.; it was noisy & rowdy until midnight. Every guest I spoke with said they would never stay here again. Worst the hotel does not let potential hotel guests know this until check in. Whatever revenue Yotel gains by renting out the pool will probably be lost in summer hotel guest revenue once word gets out and certainly in loss of repeat customers.

Horrible

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 weeks ago

Horrible. First of all, incredibly rude staff at front desk. They don’t care about the client. Then a lot of “hidden fees” for nothing. Prepare your wallet at checkout. Invest a little more money and book another hotel.
