Attention to service is amazing. Food is very good. Hiking trails and the experts in residence are why you should go. When the rain subsided and the cloud cover broke we fell in love with the Great Smoky Mountains.

Lovely experience at the Swag! Even with yucky weather we were able to enjoy each other’s company and the fireplaces which were surprisingly used during our August visit. Our cabin was comfortable and well stocked. The meals were all delicious. The staff was warm, friendly and accommodating. The only small negative was the spa. I felt like my massage was not worth the cost. We want to plan a return trip.

The Swah is truly a hidden gem! The most wonderful food, service, setting, and people! The comfortable and laid-back atmosphere with high-end service made for the perfect vacation! We cannot wait to go back!

We took our first trip to The Swag in July to celebrate our wedding anniversary. If you love the mountains this is an amazing place to visit. July temperatures in NC in the 70s with no humidity was the first thing we noticed and enjoyed. We hiked, we watched an amazing sunrise above the clouds, we both got massages at the spa, and the meals were incredible. We looked forward daily to the evening cocktail hour followed by dinner overlooking the mountains. We met new friends at The Swag and we plan to visit again in 2026. The staff provided incredible service throughout our stay, and Roderick, the bartender was knowledgeable and friendly, and he introduced us to many new drinks and wine varietals throughout the week. It seems that most guests were repeat visitors, so you better book early! Thanks to the Swag team for a great visit!
