West Baden Springs Hotel

It was just my husband and I. It was a wonderful trip. My husband surprised me for our 40th wedding anniversary. He just saw it on the internet. It was just a 3 hour drive. Pleasant drive.ust a laid back, relaxing time. Who would think we would be swimming outside in October the pool was so enjoyable.Theroim wasso comfortable.The grounds where beautiful. It was nice and neat anywhere you went. The trolley and the train was great. Took us any where on the property plus over to town. What a great place to be. We walk all over also.so nice peaceful. We haven't bowl in years. We had pizza and bowled one evening. Pete was such a help took care of us. All the employees where excellent. Any questions they where there. We will be back.We stayed at the West Baden Springs Hotel. But anywhere we stopped was really great. Just a peaceful place to be.

Being our first time visiting the hotel…. The drive into the property thru the main gate is jaw dropping! Any pictures you’ve seen doesn’t prepare you. Then you encounter a wonderful valet staff… and proceed into the hotel. You step into the main dome area… pause and look up as if you have just seen the moon for the first time. After a few minutes you proceed to check in with the nicest staff you have ever met at a front desk. But the best is just up a floor or two to your room. Large, comfortable, and as clean as your mother’s kitchen. The beds are wonderful too! We treated ourselves to a cocktail the a carriage ride by Jimmy the horse and Michael the driver. Later we embarked on a trolly ride to the casino for a bit a gambling… returning to our hotel up a little. That’s French Lick Hospitality! Highly suggest you visit! My wife and I celebrated our 48th wedding anniversary at the West Baden Springs Hotel at the French Lick Resort. We had an outstanding experience and a memorable stay. Everything (and everyone) we encountered was absolutely first rate. Our atrium balcony room was spectacular. We had a very few number of special requests, all of which were accommodated immediately. The hotel concierge was especially helpful. In fact, every staff member we encountered was incredibly gracious and very attentive to our needs. At our anniversary dinner, the Restaurant Manager personally came by to assure himself that we were pleased with our experience in his restaurant -- and in fact, everything was perfect. We truly enjoyed our experience at West Baden Springs and are definitely planning to return next year.

The atrium is amazing. The room was beautiful, bathroom was a wow. Could not get the AC from blowing right across the bed when it was running . I do feel, for the price, which was the most I’ve ever paid for a room, that breakfast for two should be included
