Sept. 2024 my husband and I went to West Baden Springs for our anniversary. It is a special place. It was a very pleasant drive from southern western Kentucky, a plus! We arrived about 2:00 Friday afternoon and were allowed to check in early, a good start! We splurged for a balcony room overlooking the atrium and thoroughly enjoyed it. We sat on the balcony, watched the lights change in the dome and listened to live music played below. The bed was very comfy. The restaurants were good but pricey. The whole place was pricey but very nice. We took Saturday afternoon TEA in front of the Rookwood fireplace, which included a live Harpist and we both loved it, very relaxing. We were there 3 nights and heard live music twice each day! Loved it. We also took the historic tour which was very interesting. We took the trolley to the sister hotel at French Lick where the casino is. We mostly just watched the gambling, but was fun and we really enjoyed the trolley. Ate supper in that hotel that night and heard a Dixieland band. My husband rode an E-bike. I tried but they didn’t have any short enough for me. So after falling once I gave up on that. Wish I could have ridden. We had one dinner in the POWER PLANT bar & Grill in French Lick resort. One dinner and on breakfast in Sinclair’s in West Baden Springs resort. The food was all delicious and the service was pretty good except the breakfast meal. We had poor service that time, I was not happy. But everything else we were well satisfied with. The grounds are lovely. They have a wonderful pool and spa but we didn’t use those this trip. Hopefully, there will be a next time! One tip: Make reservations for everything when booking or upon arrival. They fill up. Also, relax and enjoy the surroundings. One evening we went downtown and ate at OHANA Hawaiian Grill and Bar. It was delicious and good service. There were live street musicians too. Enjoy!

Beautiful hotel! They were very accommodating and nice. The pool and hot tub area was very pretty and spacious. Our guest service attendants (valet & bellhop) were all very nice and welcoming! We will definitely stay here again! We loved it!

We thoroughly enjoyed or visit to West Baden. The hotel was magical as we sat on our inside balcony over looking the lobby and gazing up to the rotunda. The foods, services and staff were all wonderful. Can not imagingine how wonderful it would be during the holidays. We may just need to find out !!

This place is one of the best kept secrets in all of the Midwest. Stunning architecture, great food and service. How they keep this gigantic resort in such great shape is really a testament to the staff. Fun little town of French Lick has some nice shops and stuff. We go twice a year and never had a bad experience. Go there! You won’t regret it.

My husband and I enjoyed my Valentine birthday with an overnight stay here. Dinner in the dining room was lovely. Relaxing in the atrium after dinner with a drink was nice. Strolling around the hotel looking at the pictures on the walls and reading about the history of the hotel and town was very interesting. There was a jazz band in the library which was a special way to enjoy the rest of the evening. The ambience is relaxing, we definately recommend you venture here.
