An iconic Los Angeles hotel once referred to colloquially as the Riot House for its rock & roll parties hosted by the likes of Led Zeppelin, The Who and The Rolling Stones, Andaz West Hollywood has evolved into a sexy urban oasis with a touch of vintage glamor. The modern boutique hotel is nestled between the Hollywood Hills and the world famous Sunset Strip and features complimentary amenities such as a welcome beverage, wifi, and an Andaz Lounge (lobby) offering snacks and wine tasting each evening from 5-7 PM. The hotel boasts Los Angeles' highest rooftop pool; Riot House Restaurant & Bar; and creative event spaces fit for small meetings and large celebrations.

I have stayed at the Andaz ( West Hollywood) several times because of its location and the top floor pool. The pool area has gorgeous views of LA, same with the rooms. Unfortunately, the hotel “ rents” day passes for pool use to non guests, resulting in limited availability of lounge/pool chairs. This is unfair to paying guests who pay a substantial sum to stay at hotel. I had difficulty getting a chair at the pool. The rooms are clean, however dated. The chair in my room had huge circular stain. This “ grossed” me. I’m surprised it wasn’t taken out. Hotel staff are friendly and helpful. The Andaz has an upbeat atmosphere and interesting history with the pictures and books of rock legends who had stayed there.

Hyatt Gobalist. It's true that the building is showing a bit of age, and could probably use a refresh, and the Globalist breakfast options aren't as robust as some other properties, but the pool/gym are fantastic, the rooms are spacious and comfy, and the staff is first-rate. If you're going to operate primarily out of the Valley, Weho, or DTLA, this is clearly the Hyatt property to stay at, especially now that The Thompson and the Tommie are gone and the Park Hyatt appears like it will never open.

I had stayed at your hotel's rooftop for the weekend of August 1 to the 2nd, and the entire staff was very kind and professional from Sebastiana at the reception to the bartenders and Kevin, the security gentleman at the rooftop. I definitely recommend the hotel, and plan to return in the future!

Overall, I had a wonderful experience at Andaz. Every single person, from valet outside to front desk to housekeeping to staff at the restaurant and anyone in between was SO friendly and helpful and I couldn't say nicer things about the people at this hotel. It's the little things that really got me about this hotel: free snacks by the front desk, water refill stations on every floor, ear plugs in your room. It shows a level of attention and care that I valued. My room was great. Nice space with a ton of room, a comfy king bed, great shower. I didn't have much of an issue with noise--Friday and Saturday night were a little bad outside, but the hotel provides you with ear plugs, which I appreciated. Though my room faced the hills, so I'm not sure if a street side room might not have the same experience. I did do the breakfast package, though I'm not entirely sure if I'd do it again. The convenience was definitely worthwhile, but after a few days the variety (or lack thereof) got a little tired. Though the food was delicious and definitely good proportions too. Never checked out the pool or deck area, so cannot speak to that. If I decide to stay in this area again on my next trip to LA, I will likely choose Andaz over other choices.
