A solid option to explore WeHo
had 6 nights as a solo traveler at the Chamberlain West Hollywood and overall enjoyed my stay. Check-in was quick and friendly, although the lack of assistance with bags and heavy manual front doors was a tricky combo. The lobby itself was a bit underwhelming- the property has the feel of an apartment building. Unfortunately one of the 2 lifts wasn’t functioning for the duration of my stay, so I generally took the stairs. My room was huge and very clean, but felt a bit tired in terms of carpet and furnishings. High-end toiletries were a nice touch, along with a huge, well-lit bathroom. Rooms are only cleaned twice-weekly, which was a bit annoying especially as the bins are quite small. The kitchen has a microwave and sink, but oddly no crockery or cutlery (not even a teaspoon to make a cup of coffee). The streaming function on my TV also appeared to not be working. The rooftop pool is really nice, with lots of shady seating options (but is unstaffed, and it was unclear if you can order food or drinks from the rooftop). The location is really handy to explore LA, and there is a number 4 bus stop a few minutes’ walk away. Amenities such as a Trader Joe’s and a CVS are also very close by. There are loads of casual and high-end food options in the area as well.
