We had high expectations for the La Peer (which is supposed to be one of the more luxurious Kimpton hotels) and it was so bad we checked out a day early. The property is only 7 years old but the rooms are worn and tired. The shower pressure as well as hot water are woefully inadequate. The first suite we were given included a terrace but the door to it was difficult to open and other guests had the same issue as you can see from the scuff marked floor on the photo attached. The headboard was peeling and the sofa stained. The AC would periodically shut itself off so we had to leave the door to the bedroom open, defeating the purpose of a suite. We were moved to their “Penthouse” where the stay got even worse. The AC was so noisy the room literally reverberated like tremors from a mild earthquake (not what you want in LA). When we turned it off, the noise continued because it was coming from the HVAC units on the roof which serve the entire hotel! Maintenance came and said it was wrong but nothing could be done. The front door was broken, the sink was missing its stopper and the terrace door had the same issue as the previous suite, I could go on but suffice to say this was the worst stay I have ever reviewed in 20 years of using TripAdvisor (given the price point) and I am a true fan of the Kimpton brand, having previously been an "Inner Circle" member for 10 years. Anyone considering the La Peer should look hard at many of the positive reviews whose authors have only made one submission to TripAdvisor. This hotel has a deeply flawed physical plant, staying here caused nothing but stress and ruined our visit to WEHO. As a “courtesy” we were not charged for the night we didn’t stay, an “early check out fee” or for food (that had mostly been covered by our IHG "Destined"rate) for enduring this ordeal! If you are seriously considering booking here (especially the Penthouse), message me and I can share videos of the noise (you can’t upload them to TripAdvisor reviews). Given the rates there are many other options in the area, do yourself a favor and pick ANY of them instead. Only wish I could give this place zero stars because that is what it deserves. Appalling.

First-class accommodation with flair. From the moment I was warmly greeted at the front desk by Joseph, I felt at home. I was fortunate to get my room early (3:30pm) and start on the amenities (rooftop sun area and pickleball court, ground floor-level heated pool with loungers and adjacent fitness room, along with an outdoor bar/eating area). The rooms are spacious and contemporary. The TV choices are good - local channels and all the major cable stations - and the shower had great water pressure. The bed? Well, I don't remember since I fell right to sleep each night ... it was so comfortable. The hotel only offers valet parking but the attendants are always there to help take care of your car, 24/7. Friendly, helpful staff. Located on a quiet street, La Peer Hotel is still a short half-block to quality restaurants and a full-fledged grocery store (Pavillions, owned by Albertson's). I will be back!

We had an amazing stay at Kimpton La Peer. The rooms are super comfortable and stylish, and the location is perfect to walk around West Hollywood. The service was excellent, everyone was very kind, and I really want to thank Emanuel at the front desk for being so helpful and welcoming. He truly made our stay even better. We’ll definitely come back next time we are in LA.

I recently stayed at the La Peer Hotel for a quick two-night work trip, and my experience was nothing short of spectacular! The entire team went above and beyond to make me feel welcome and taken care of. A special shoutout to Joseph at the front desk, who was not only incredibly friendly but also greeted me by name every time we crossed paths. That small detail made a big difference. Alyssa at the pool bar was equally wonderful. She was warm, attentive, and makes an excellent margarita! As someone who worked for Kimpton for many years, it is heartwarming to see that the signature Kimpton culture is alive and thriving at La Peer. Thank you to the whole team for turning a work trip into what truly felt like a vacation. –Clayton

I shared a room with a cool balcony that was perfect for my son and me, he was moving into college. My mom also joined the trip at the last minute and the front desk staff helped me find her a room that was perfect for her; it was accessible, and also had a smaller balcony. The weather is extremely perfect, so opening the doors to let the fresh air in makes the room feel more spacious. It’s a great price for the location, too. The staff was beyond helpful; they even helped me get a delayed shipment to my son after I had already checked out. Completely satisfied with my stay. The pillows are great and the bed is plushy, what more can you ask for? Well the middle-eastern restaurant downstairs was so good that we went twice! We will certainly return.
