Kimpton La Peer Hotel

The fire alarms been going off for over 60 minutes here at night. They allowed some unprofessional video production in the lobby with a smoke machine which set off all the alarms throughout the entire building. There was no announcements just chaos going to the lobby only to be told by the lobby staff we could return to our rooms and it would be solved soon. That was about 50 minutes ago. We just want to sleep. Motel 6s have solved worse situations faster and better than this place. Absolutely overpriced and foolish management. Genuinely do not stay here.

My husband and I were passing through LA for one night on our way to Santa Barbara and decided to stay at the Kimpton La Peer as it seemed to be a solid option—we were just looking for a nice but mostly laidback spot to rest and recharge since we were trying to fit in as much as we could in the two days we were in town for. Ultimately though, the Kimpton exceeded our expectations! Location was fantastic for what we needed, the room was lovely and perfectly equipped and the staff were all truly lovely and accommodating. A special shoutout is deserved—to the bar staff in the patio/pool area for the kindness and the delicious drinks and to Josh and Andy over with the valet for always making sure we had our car at lightning speed! We had so much to cram into our 40 hours in LA and the Kimpton helped us to survive the chaos and to truly enjoy our time in the city. Highly recommend!

Absolutely loved this hotel. The customer service was absolutely fabulous. Everyone was super kind, helpful, friendly, and polite. I am not from Los Angeles, but this really made it seem like home. Joseph was able to assist us in multiple questions and concerns I had right away. The room was 10 out of 10 and the service was unbeatable. I wish I could stay longer, but unfortunately, I have to go back to Chicago. I can’t wait to come back. Joseph & the entire staff have my highest recommendation!
