Sunset Marquis

Location: Nestled on a quiet street. Unfortunately the nearest metro is Hollywood/Highland with all the chaos associated with it. Bedroom: Picked a villa, which was nice. In retrospect, maybe not worth the extra cost. My unit had a neighbor upstairs, and two more below me so it's questionable how much more privacy there was. Bathroom: Large. Appreciate hooks near the shower door. My shower didn't close completely so there was a big water leak. Had to leave the shower mat hanging in the bath tub to dry. Shower: Large. Drained well enough. Great water pressure/temperature. Pros: Felt nice and secluded. Appreciate the complimentary car service within 2.5-3 miles of the hotel. But, we overheard it on accident. Should be part of the welcome spiel. Cons: Not convenient if you intend on using the metro.

We have had an amazing time at this hotel. The grounds are beautiful, the room was spacious and clean and the every staff member was friendly and helpful. Added bonus was the hotel car that would drive you within 3 miles of the hotel. Definitely helped with the Uber cost. Our room 338 had a very small bathroom, but it was next to the elevator so I think a vanity was added to the room to make up for the configuration. Only heard people outside our room waiting for the elevator a couple of times. I would absolutely stay here any time I’m in the LA area.

We've just left LA bound for the UK after spending 8 wonderful nights at this enchanting place. Everything was perfect from the minute we set foot into the lobby. The hotel is absolutely gorgeous and our room was simply exquisite but WHAT MAKES THIS PLACE are the people who looked after us and became our friends. I would like to thank the following people for making our stay a once in a lifetime experience and hope anyone reading this gets a chance of meeting these wonderful human beings.... Dominika & Noel on the front desk. Sydney, our, ever so polite, breakfast waiter, Mario, our restaurant manager, Chad, our bartender & Peter our valet and photographer. Thank you all for being so gracious and kind to us. And then there's this bunch.... My good friends Svetlana, Sarah, Robert, and not forgetting, 'my brother from another mother' Logan. We left feeling like family. These people are what make The Sunset Marquis the place it is. Don't bother staying ANYWHERE else in LA. 'The Sunset Is Where It's At'. XX

I recently stayed at the Sunset Marquis, and my experience was wonderful! Jesse and the rest of the staff was incredibly attentive and made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. The room was impeccably clean and beautifully decorated, I highly recommend for anyone looking for a luxurious stay in West Hollywood. I would definitely return!

This is one of my favorite hotels, and we have stayed here three times now. It’s in a fabulous location, has an interesting history, a wonderful restaurant, nice pools, and a great staff! I highly recommend staying here to anyone and I look forward to returning the next time I am in LA!
