Escape to Montana’s historic Firehole Ranch to fish the fabled waters of the Rocky Mountain West. We fish legendary rivers including the Madison, Yellowstone, Henry's Fork of the Snake, Gallatin, Firehole and the Lamar, to name just a few. Enjoy absolutely unforgettable fishing in some of the world’s most spectacular scenery. Our historic, landmark lodge provides discriminating fly fishing enthusiasts an intimate, unforgettable retreat. Nestled on the shores of Hebgen Lake, Firehole Ranch is a cultural and architectural delight. Handcrafted from surrounding lodgepole pine in the 1940's, the main lodge and cabins are lovingly maintained to retain their original style, elegance, and grace. Open for only 15 weeks each summer and hosting 22 guests at a time, you truly become a part of the Firehole family.

We've fished Montana for every year for the last fifteen years. This last week was our fifth consecutive year at Firehole. We enjoy meeting there with a group including both lifelong friends and our adult children. The fishing, accommodations and dining all continue to be outstanding. More important is the fact that Lindy creates an environment that feels like a family homecoming. The staff is welcoming and warm. We see familiar faces among both guests and staff each year. The high return rate of both guests and staff probably say more about the experience than we could hope to express in any review.

This is a bucket-list trip for epic fly fishing in a stunning setting along with gourmet food and wine and well-appointed cabins. Firehole Ranch has well-earned every accolade. The guides (Hunter in my case) are awesome people, very knowledgable, rabid to put you on great fish and, above all, patient! Staff, including the owner, work hard to meet your every need -- in most cases without ever asking. Food is top notch, the weekly BBQ is magnificent, and the wine and custom cocktails are as good as any place in a major city. A max of 20 guests or so make this a very relaxed experience. But it books up fast! Run don't walk to Firehole Ranch

Great accommodations, great food, great fishing, secluded location. Couldn't ask for more. The cookout was fabulous. Our fishing guide, Chris King, was great again. Fishing the Henry's Fork and the Madison never disappoint.

I read many reviews before my stay at Firehole Ranch. After my time there, I do believe the few negative reviews available online should be carefully considered before booking a stay here. The location is beautiful but being on a lake and having to take a boat across the lake before and after fishing does limit the time one can fish. The staff is very accommodating and my guide was fantastic. The food is very good. Those who have noted issues with the seating arrangements at dinner are spot-on. My first night, traveling solo, I was seated at a table by myself. I was expected to sit through a 100 minute dinner by myself. Fortunately the couple at the table next to me took pity on me and invited me to join them. My comments to the management about this situation were not responded to. Firehole Ranch is extremely pricey. My impression is that selects for certain clientele. I've had a much better experience with fellow guests at other fishing lodges.

Our visit to Firehole Ranch was the highlight of our trip out west. Located on the shores of beautiful Hebgen Lake, this property is first class and so are its owner and staff. We have never felt so welcome as we did when we stepped foot on this spectacular piece of property. The owner Lyndy, along with Stephen, Jess, and all the rest of the staff went well above and beyond, and out of their way, to make sure our time at the ranch was perfect. We plan to stay longer next year and have already booked it! I highly recommend Firehole Ranch!!!
