Exceptional Service and Memorable stay at the Pan Pacific Whistler Mountain side

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 month ago

We had a wonderful stay at Pan Pacific Whistler Mountain side. Ms Kiran the Housekeeping Manager, Mr Rahul the hotel manager and our room attendant Ms Myra went above and beyond to make our experience special, especially as we were celebrating my wife’s birthday. Their exceptional service made our trip unforgettable. Highly recommended

Don't ask for a mountainside room if you're seeking any peace or quiet

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 month ago

The location can't be beat for access to the gondolas. If you want to grab your skis from the hotel ski storage room and walk 20 ft to a lift, you're in the right place. However, if you're looking for any peace and quiet between the hours of 11am and midnight, DO NOT get a Mountainside room. We had visions of quietly looking out at the mountain while sitting by a cozy fire. Instead, we were bombarded with loud music coming from the Longhorn across the plaza for over 12 hours/day. Forget about naps, quiet evenings making dinner and playing games, or falling asleep peacefully. The BUMP, BUMP, BUMP of the music is constant and LOUD. And there are plenty of people out there enjoying the music, whooping and shrieking drunkenly. The pool and hot tubs are also in the direct line of fire from the music, so there's no peace there either. And I am one who likes bars, loud music, and having a good time, I promise! I just didn't count on it being in my room for the entire 3-day stay. The hotel service was ok. Mostly the front desk was friendly, but we arrived a few hours before the 4pm check-in and were told that we would be called if our room opened up early. There was a crowded lobby to hang out in, but no other comfortable or quiet spaces. We waited for a couple of hours, and I finally checked in about 30 minutes before 4pm, and they said the room was ready - but I didn't get a call before that. I wonder how long it was ready before I checked in. The room itself was nice and the bed was comfortable. The bathroom was spacious and the kitchen had everything we needed to make small meals for breakfast and lunch.

Wonderful location, great hospitality

Very nice hotel. Excellent location steps from a gondola with numerous dining and shopping options also close by in the village. Was especially impressed with the job that housekeeping did. Our suite was taken care of very well every day we were there. They also provide a complimentary (alcohol extra) apres ski lounge with various snacks and drinks daily from 3 to 6, which was appreciated after finishing a full day on the slopes.

Great stay for single person

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 month ago

I stayed on my own in a studio room, higher floor, mountain facing. It was perfect for me as, with the bed folded up, there was plenty of space for my morning stretching. The bed is queen sized so more snug for 2! The kitchen was great (after I found the frying pan in the oven!) to have coffee and fried eggs each day. It was lovely that everything was washed up / put in dishwasher and turned on. Being high meant my room was not noisy, but I could sit on the little balcony and watch the pool / hot tub and partying below. I never made it to snacks on the 7th floor in the afternoon. Hot tub was great, never went in the pool. Having the ski room so close to the gondola's was amazing. All in all a great stay, and the hotel sorted my return journey for me easily.

Great hotel with a wonderful locations and so close to everything in Whistler.

This hotel is not to be missed if you are going to Whistler. The rooms are so well appointed, kitchen well stocked with all the dishes and service items you will need and the bed really comfy. The location is great, and the views are outstanding. This was our third time here and we will be back in 2025. This is a great find, and even has a washer and dryer which is very helpful. Love this place. The bellman, Tyler is a real treasure. So welcoming and helpful. Always a smile and helpful if needed. Great place and so enjoyed our 55th anniversary. Thanks to all.
