Too bad about the poor breakfast.

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 day ago

The room was great and kitchen well supplied. The bed was very comfortable. Shower power was great. Location was great. Staff was nicely accommodating. However, this Pan Pacific lost several stars due to the breakfast buffet. This earned them a one star. We have never had such a poor buffet. Eggs were the scrambled ready to pour buttery ones; "fresh" melon was bland; the mini muffins stuck to the roof of our mouths and had an odd taste (one bite and could not swallow it); the sausage was worse- like a dried up chalk or stick; bacon was - well, not sure. I filled my bowl with yogurt to at least get an edible breakfast. Our package included the breakfast - it is not worth it. We have had quite better breakfasts at Holiday Inn. One suggestion for the rooms- please put in recycling bins. You post about being eco friendly; but we had to combine all our trash into the one bin in the bathroom. Sorry, Pan; but you have to do something about the breakfast. I'm not sure if others are writing reviews about it or mentioned it to the front desk; but several other guests mentioned the unsatisfactory buffet as well.

If it wasn't for the location, I wouldn't have chosen it

For the price, location is really the only thing this hotel has going for it. Our air conditioner was broken in the room. There was only one working elevator for the entire property. Parking is expensive and quite challenging. The shower is tiny and if you're a bigger person, good luck. The room was clean. The breakfast was decent; although, chaotic in such a small and cramped location. The location is its only saving grace, we won't go back though as there are so many other options.

Amazing!!! Our third time staying at Pan Pacific. We brought our puggle with us this time and we were so impressed with how dog friendly the hotel and hotel room was. Beautiful hotel, perfect hotel rooms and one of the most comfortable beds I have ever slept in. Thank you once again Pan Pacific! See you again soon!

We had a pleasant experience. Gift shop and vending machines were a little pricey but overall we were satisfied with our stay.

Good location but better choices in Whistler

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 weeks ago

I’ll start by saying this is our third visit to Whistler this year we stay in Whistler many times and I’ve stayed at more than 10 different hotels and resorts in Whistler We thought we would try the Pan Pacific because of the reputation and being a four star hotel we did find a pretty good deal that included buffet breakfast. But still $300 plus a night. The other Pan Pacific was less, but we chose this one because the buffet breakfast was included. That was a mistake. The positives the rooms were clean. The staff were really nice and friendly. They had an area for bikes that were locked up at the front lobby. We had a one bedroom suite which was quite nice and spacious. The hotel is located in a good part of the village easy to walk everywhere. The negative the buffet breakfast was inedible for a four star hotel. I expected the for a 4 star hotel the food to be warm and not pre-cooked in large quantities and sit out for hours. Definitely do not choose this hotel thinking that you will get a four star hotel buffet breakfast. We have also stayed at the Westin where the buffet is amazing. The other negative I would say is the parking the parking lot is a bit awkward also it shares a parking lot with the hotel next-door. The Pam Pacific charges $32 to self park. Where is the hotel next-door for the same parking lot charges 21. Or you can pay yourself at the parking metre for $24. I was a bit annoyed at this having learned this. The pool is also a bit odd it’s very narrow. It’s designed as a lap pool. Maybe they’re trying to discourage families and kids. I’m not sure, but far from the best pool in Whistler if you plan to use it in the summer.I would choose the other Pan Pacific over this (we have stayed there previously). The pool area was clean and well stocked with fresh towels. Overall, there’s several other hotels of better quality for the same price in Whistler Village. We wouldn’t choose this again.
