Ireland is known as the Emerald Isle because of its lush green landscape, but within Ireland, there is a county known as the oegarden of Ireland”. An oases within a paradise, County Wicklow, on the eastern shore, is kept temperate by the gulf stream, and is home to Ireland(TM)s greatest gardens. Call one of these gracious gardens home, if only temporarily, when you stay at Tinakilly Country House and Restaurant. Set at the end of oak-lined avenue, Tinakilly House is enveloped by seven acres of pleasure gardens overlooking the Irish Sea and Broadlough Coastal Lagoon. The stunning sea views, romantic gardens, grand old house and surrounding hinterland of Tinakilly captures the essence of Irish country living to delightful perfection.

This, perhaps less known manor house is set in a beautiful, tranquil setting, surrounded by parkland. The house itself is quite grand inside, with different function rooms, restaurant and guestroom upstairs. Lunch in the smaller drawing room was lovely, the fish of the day was very tasty, and the service was good. The gardens are beautifully kept and tranquil.

We couldn’t have been happier with how everything turned out at Tinakilly! We began our venue search two years before the big day, and from the very start, Róisín and Emma were absolutely incredible. They were warm, professional, and genuinely excited for us. After several calls and conversations, we always felt confident and supported—they truly put us at ease and made the entire planning process feel personal and smooth. Their passion for what they do really shows, and we’re so grateful to have worked with them. On the wedding day itself, the entire staff was an absolute dream. They never missed a beat—fun, composed, professional, and incredibly kind. We were blown away by the level of care and attention from start to finish. A special thank you to AB, who was so courteous and completely on top of everything, especially with the meals and coordination throughout the day. Marion, thank you for taking such tender, loving care of us on the morning of the wedding. You made sure we were fed, calm, and looked after during the bridal breakfast, and we’re so grateful for your warmth. And to Elliott, Nick, Fanning, Chloie, Rian, Tony, Eian, Finn, Chris, and Oah, thank you all for your part in making my daughter's and son-in-law's day so unforgettable. Each of you brought your touch of magic to the experience, and we never once felt like just another wedding party. You made us feel truly seen and celebrated. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for making their day everything we dreamed it would be. Simply said, thank you all!

We absolutely fell in love with this hotel. So much so we have decided that in a few years we would like this to be the venue for renewing our vows! The gardens and views are just idyllic, the peace and calmness is instant from arrival and the staff absolutely charming (especially Rian in the restaurant, he understands excellent customer service!) Very friendly at check in, room gorgeous and such a comfortable bed (makes all the difference) We had dinner and breakfast there and both were excellent, as was the wine - one of the best bottles of red is the one we had there with dinner. We are already planning another visit, would go here every week if we could! Highly recommend, 5 stars 🌟

Lovely atmosphere created by management and staff. Couldn't find anything to complain about. Great attention and service at a wedding. Suggest feather pillow option but I didn't ask, so may be there. Grounds are beautiful, peaceful and relaxing.

Was so disappointed from start to finish ,no heating on second floor and no maintenance man to sort the problem . Requested change of room but they’re weren’t any available .found the house musty and in need of a refurbishment. Tried to contact hotel by letter to complain , phoned also to request to speak to a person in charge to the present we have not had any feed back.Had we had our own transport with us on that evening we would have headed home.
