FILTHY HASN'T SEEN A DUSTER IN MONTHS NEVER MIND A VACUUM

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 days ago

Receptionist must have thought she worked at the Ritz with her attitude. THE ROOM WAS FILTHY WITH DAMP CRAWLING UP THE WALLS BEHIND THE CURTAIN. BATHROOM WAS WORSE - MOULDY GROUT, FILTHY SHOWER CURTAIN CONTAINING DEAD SPIDERS AND TAPS THAT CAME OFF IN YOUR HAND! Very poor disabled parking and access. The We mentioned the room on check out and a different receptionist just scribbled it on a piece of paper that I'm sure went in the bin. I have emailed the hotel twice since to address the issues and have been totally ignored. We attended a family wedding here it is not up to hosting weddings. Too many buildings used, no signage and walking from one to the other in rain. We arrived early and asked for any room to change in after a long drive. The receptionist on auto pilot said to us numerous times check in not until 4 - that was understood I am not stupid. Myself, my husband and our 4 year old had to squeeze into the disabled toilet and try get ready. We have attended weddings at other hotels with less stars and they managed to give us a room. The manager running the show that day brushed off my comments then informed me I should have changed in the golf clubhouse - how was I to know that? And another building to walk to in the rain. ABSOLUTE SHAMBLES OF A HOTEL.

Not catering for coeliacs

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 week ago

My experience of the hotel room and golf course was very positive. Where the hotel let themselves down was their attitude towards a coeliac guest, no gluten free station at breakfast with cereal or bread. We had to go to reception to complain and eventually some corn flakes and gluten free bread was provided. Similarly at dinner the previous night the dessert provided to the coeliac guest was some obviously dated sorbet! Tulfarris chefs you need to step up!

Amazing service

Amazing hotel with such helpful friendly staff. My wife is a four epi pen carrier with numerous different allergies. The treatment she got was exceptional, my heartfelt thanks to the chefs and all the staff for making our stay so memorable

Poor experience

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 week ago

Disappointing experience. Water brown. Not the fault of the hotel seemingly but we were not made aware if this when checking in. Just a note left in the room to make us aware. Guests should have been compensated somewhat. Extra bottles of water left in bathroom but kinda hard to brush your teeth with water from a bottle. Check in 4pm is too late in my opinion. €10 for a glass of s blanc wine in the restaurant is far too expensive. Bar area is only suitable for eating. No proper comfortable seats to relax with a drink. Most people seemed to just go back to their rooms. Lovely view of golf course but that was it for us. Would not return or recommend.
