What a fabulous place to stay with friends. We traveled as a group of 6 couples and stayed in two locations. A 2 bedroom (owner unit) condo and a 4 bedroom house. The lodging had everything we needed for a great stay. In addition, we played golf & tennis and arranged for a fishing excursion. The resort was very accommodating setting up our tee times around our schedule and reserving tennis courts for us. Although the women beat the men in the "fish off", we all had a great time. In addition, we had a couple of meals at Eagles and they easily set up a table for 12 and provided great service. We are already planning on returning this summer with our kids for more adventures.

We had another top-notch experience at Kingsmill. The room was clean, with a great view and excellent service from the front desk for extra water, ice, coffee etc.. Both golf courses were in great condition, despite the greens having been punched a week earlier. The pro shop was kind to offer Fall rates for both days. A special thank you to Zac at the marina. He always takes extra care to ensure you enjoy the water and everything the marina had to offer. Thanks again, see you next time!

This resort made our vacation! From the breathtaking views to the friendliest staff this resort was amazing! Sitting right on the James river everything about this resort was relaxing. The rooms were clean and spacious, the beds soft and comfy, and the staff was always on top of things. We ate at the Eagle Restaurant a few times for lunch which had great food overlooking the golf course/river, and the bartender made excellent martinis, including a special non-alcoholic fruit punch for our kids! This resort had a wonderful marina where we went kayaking, and at night the manager, Isaac Zortman, made us a fire pit with s'mores included! Isaac took the time to explain all the activities we could do around the resort, scheduled all the activities at exactly the times we wanted, and made sure my family had a fun time! This resort was a home away from home, and exactly what my family was looking for in a resort. When we go back to Va. this is the only place we will be staying!

We were here for a conference. When we checked in, we were not greeted. We asked about getting a drink and were told the bar was closed (later found out we could have gone to the golf club for a drink). The golf course (2 of them) was nice to play, but there was no water on the course, and only one course had a beverage cart that stopped coming around at 1:30ish. It is like they did not want to make money. Weird. I did not feel like this location had a lot of southern charm. The rooms need a fresh coat of paint, and the windows need to be cleaned. The older gentlemen who were working cart duty for golf and James, the bartender in Eagles, were probably the best things about the stay.

Our stay at Kingsmill was sub par. We were pleasantly surprised with the grounds and beauty of the resort. However once we got our room our kids wanted to leave. It was very, very small. Ground level, dark and dingy. Only two working lamps in the whole room. Balcony was covered in mold, not useable. Closet was musty and dusty and we were not able to put anything in it. Bathroom was beyond tiny and neither the room or the bathroom resembled the pictures of what we booked. We also paid extra for a water view and had a view of a fence and few trees. Indoor and outdoor pool were great, but sadly would not stay here again. Check in is listed as 4 pm. We arrived to hotel at 3, told our room would be ready shortly. At 4:30 we had to follow up and were told they were busy. We did not get into our room until almost 5. We wanted to see if we Could get switched to a different room due to its condition but it was so late already.

Super Super Super service from the staff members we encountered. This is what brings us back twice a year. We LOVE the service.

My family and I recently returned from a 5 night stay at Kingsmill Resort. Our experience was terrific. The resort offered great tennis, golf, fishing, etc. -- so much to do even with a day or two at Colonial Williamsburg and the parks, that we were tempted to stay an extra day... I would recommend this resort without qualification to friends, family and to my company for sales meetings.
