Buckland Manor was just as magical on our second visit as it was on our first (back in 2017). Exceptional staff- all of them, outstanding service, and a truly beautiful setting made for another memorable stay. At Christmas, the decor is simply stunning! You genuinely feel as though you’ve stepped into a living Christmas card. We loved spending time in the lounge with the fires roaring; it’s the perfect backdrop for a glass of wine and a relaxed evening meal. Breakfast was delicious, and even the sandwiches and chips from the bar menu exceeded expectations. There’s a timeless elegance about Buckland Manor that makes you want to return again and again.

A wonderful old manor on the edge of the Cotswold Hills. Its peaceful atmosphere is augmented by professional and friendly staff, excellent food, and all the comforts of an English country house. My husband and I have returned many times and are never disappointed.

We spent six nights at Buckland Manor, a beautifully preserved country house nestled just minutes from Broadway. Its location is ideal for exploring the most picturesque villages in the Cotswolds, and Broadway itself—full of charming houses, excellent restaurants, and boutique shops—is a delight to visit. At Buckland, we stayed in one of their two Master Rooms. Spacious and elegantly appointed, it featured a comfortable king-size bed and a luxurious bathroom with heated floors, a deep soaking tub, and a separate shower. The manor’s lounge areas were equally inviting, offering several cozy spots to relax, have a tea or coffee or simply unwind with a drink before dinner. The on-site restaurant is very good, though the menu is fixed and doesn’t change throughout the week—a limitation if you’re staying for several days. Fortunately, Broadway’s many dining options are close by. On our final evening, the kitchen kindly prepared a special meal just for us, which was both thoughtful and delicious. Breakfasts were à la carte and served at the table—consistently excellent. The manor itself is steeped in character, with antique furnishings and classic décor that evoke the timeless charm of the Cotswolds. The gardens are lovely and must be especially enjoyable for outdoor drinks or meals in warmer weather. One seasonal quirk: during our stay, we noticed quite a few flies dying on the room floor—likely a result of the changing weather. It didn’t detract from the overall experience, but worth noting. The staff were unfailingly kind and attentive, always ready to help with a smile. All in all, it was a wonderful week. We wholeheartedly recommend Buckland Manor and would gladly return.

My wife and I stayed here for 2 nights and greatly enjoyed our stay. The staff were tremendous and very helpful. We had a classic room which was very comfortable. Our evening meal was lovely but don’t think it justified the £62 tag for 2 courses plus service. Nearby Broadway offered some good alternatives.
