Golden Flower Hotel, Xian

We stayed at this hotel as part of a Wendy Wu Tour. Aside from its convenient location, it is difficult to understand why it continues to be used, as the property is significantly dated and appears not to have undergone any meaningful refurbishment for at least two decades. The rooms were spacious; however, all television channels were in Chinese, with no English options available. The bathroom facilities were old and in clear need of renovation. Our room was located on what we believe was the 10th floor, facing the main road. Upon exiting the lift, there was a strong smell of cigarette smoke throughout the corridor. In the mornings, the hallways also smelled of cooked food, which seemed to be due to staff having breakfast on duty. Breakfast catering was clearly aimed at Chinese guests and did not offer suitable options for Western visitors. The quality was poor, and tables were not set by staff, which detracted further from the experience. The hotel has both a swimming pool and spa pool, with water temperatures that were adequate. However, these facilities are also outdated and would benefit from refurbishment. A swimming cap was mandatory for pool use. While a pool attendant was present, they appeared disengaged and spent the majority of the time on their phone. Overall, this is an ageing hotel in urgent need of renovation. Greater consideration should be given to the expectations and needs of Western tour guests if it is to remain suitable accommodation for international travellers.

Fantastic stay in this hotel ! The hotel is very clean, it is modern. The staff is super helpful, welcoming and kind ! To be honest, I have never seen such a quality of customer service in any hotel i went to in my life and I traveled a lot in the world ! The staff is always super careful about any issues you have. I would like to thank particularly the manager Liu, since the beginning he was paying attention to every detail, he even added my Wechat to communicate with me about any issue ! The hotel has also a very good breakfast with large range of choices and good quality food, and is well located in the city of Xi'an. Xi'an is a very beautiful city but this hotel is also the cause of why i enjoyed so much my stay here !

因为出席国际学术会议在西安停留了四天，这期间都住在金花大酒店。前台非常的友好且热心，在入住前替我妥善签收了不少快递，入住时又帮我免费升级了房间，入住期间也热心回答我的各种问题，在此要特别感谢酒店的宾客关系主任连戈和小唐。酒店位置优越，房间宽敞，干净整洁，设施齐全，早餐种类丰富。酒店除了客房服务提供丰富的美食外，入住期间还可以在手机软件上订餐，外卖员将外卖送到酒店前台后，前台会安排机器人将外卖直接送到客房，机器人非常可爱且有礼貌。在我入住期间经常能看到参加大型会议的与会者入住，这是对酒店优质服务的一种最直观的肯定。强烈推荐这家酒店！ The staff at the Golden Flower Hotel really took great care of me, the moment I walked into their lobby, their welcomed me with warmth and escorted me and my luggage to an executive suite they updated for me for free, and sent me fruits as a welcome gift. They received 20+ packages I ordered on my behalf before my arrival so that I could have all the necessities I need before attending the conference without having to carry them all the way from abroad. When I decided to order take-outs from outside restaurants, they assigned a lovely robot to deliver it directly to my door. The room as spotless-clean throughout my entire stay. When I was checking out on a tight schedule, they ordered a cab for me whose driver did his best to make sure that I wouldn't miss my train albeit the super tight time window, they really out delivered more than what I was expecting. Would definitely stay at Gold Flower Hotel again when I visit Xi'an next time, 10/10 would recommend!

The hotel was simple and warm.The hotel is mainly occupied by travel groups. The breakfast buffet was good The ambience of the hotel was Chinese culture and good. The hotel was neat and tidy. The hotel toilet was spic and span The toiletries was Chinese.

This was at one time a very nice hotel, but the rooms are in need of a makeover. The location is great, the staff are lovely. The location is close to shopping and not far from the city wall. The breakfasts are very good at this hotel.
