Outstanding, friendly comfortable boutique hotel. They went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. Didn't use the pool or hot tub but looked very inviting.

Beautiful hotel in a stunning corner of the world. North Block might be our favorite hotel on the planet tbh. (Carter Dodds was first class too.)

My husband and I had a great stay at North Block. Parking was plentiful and convenient. The location was great; Yountville is lovely to walk around with good dining options. There was a little street noise but I did not find it too bad. The chocolate chip cookies at the front desk are divine! They also give you a complimentary drink (alcoholic) at check-in, a complimentary house cocktail during happy hour at the bar, and a complimentary whiskey pour in the evenings. The continental breakfast was great; could have used a little variety over the days we were there but everything was delicious (though some things could have been hotter). It is nice that you can sit outside for breakfast, and that they have mimosas available. We enjoyed happy hour at the bar. The courtyard area was nice for sitting in the evenings by the fire, and our room was closer to the pool and I did not hear any noise from that area. Every staff person we interacted with was fantastic and very helpful. The room was spacious (particularly the huge closet!) and the bed was so comfortable with luxurious bedding. I love that they provided an optional weighted blanket. We had a first floor room with a small back patio; there wasn't much privacy in the front of our room even with the shrubbery, but they have both light filtering and blackout curtains. We did have a little noise from our upstairs neighbors. The full length mirror and steamer were also great touches (seriously, an amazing steamer! I can't wait to buy one for home.) The bathroom was spacious and their proprietary products are wonderful. The ceiling height was also great as my husband is quite tall, and he did fit under the rain head shower (he's 6'7"). Pros: Frame TV in room which you can easily connect to streaming services, fridge stocked with bottles of water which they are happy to replace, turn down service with macarons each night, excellent robes and slippers, housekeeping services were thorough, nice hot shower (rain shower head), lots of different adjustable lighting options in the room, AC was adjustable and kept us nice and cool. Only additional pieces of feedback I have: a make-up mirror would be nice; with two sinks, a second soap would be helpful; and the window over the tub opens up to a parking lot where folks can see right in which was not ideal. I can't comment on the pool or hot tub as we did not use them, but they looked very nice. Overall, we had an excellent stay and I would definitely come back here again!

What impressed me about the hotel was the professionalism and the friendliness of the staff. No matter what you ask for, they are kind and receptive and try to deliver it. That means a lot to me as a guest - to be treated at that level. It began from the minute I walked in the lobby and continued all the way up the line.

Every detail was 5 star - - from making the reservation to stepping out and immediately being greet with glasses of sparkling wine at check-in, to the tour of our Premium room with our own private patio, California King, and heated bathroom floors, to the personalized note signed by the hotel's proprietor welcoming us to the hotel.
