Great staff, good outdoor facilities

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 weeks ago

We spent 9 nights here golfing and swimming and enjoying sunshine. It was quite rainy at times and there wasn’t a real beach but the pool areas were nice, the main pool could have been deeper than 1m though. However the sunbeds and the facilities were really good and well thought. Even though there wasn’t a normal beach, it was possible to swim in the ocean before sunset and there was an excellent dock for swimming and sunbathing. There was lots of different activities free of charge so we had an opportunity to play different games and golf (that was not included). There was also a free shuttle daily to Stone Town and back which we took once and that was a great experience too. Also because there’s no shops close to resort (except two souvenir shops in the resort), it was a good idea to buy some soft drinks etc. to the room from Stone Town. They were selling some drinks in the hotel bars but those were glass bottles and the all inclusive was really expensive from our perspective (60€/pax/day). 1l/pax water was brought to room daily. We had breakfast and dinner included in our package and breakfast was really good. There was a large variety of foods to choose from and staff were very helpful and tables were cleaned up quickly. Evening buffet had a changing menu and that was in my opinion not as good as the breakfast. Luckily allergies were asked during check in so when we had troubles with finding suitable food for us, a kind waitress Hope told us that we can order something from the menu and they would prepare it for us. Thanks to her, we got every evening a nice salad and main course and the dessert we chose from the buffet. Staff had also organized a special moment for my birthday: I got a fruit plate to my room and also they sang me happy birthday during dinner and brought a cake for me. I’ve spent many birthdays in different countries but this was the only time it’s been noticed. Our room was little dated but everything was working. Kudos for proper nets around the beds for keeping bugs out. Those worked really well. Also the shower was maybe the best I’ve used in a hotel. Usually there’s not enough hot water or the water pressure is too low. No there was no issues with those and even a long hair was easy to wash. There was quite often power cuts but usually those were short. Huge thanks to kind and smiling staff, especially Hope and Asia! If I travel again to Zanzibar, I could stay in this resort again!

Great environment and facilities

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 weeks ago

We found the resort very well-positioned with views over the Indian Ocean. The long and picturesque sunsets were a welcome sight each evening. Meals were very well prepared and there was always a variety to suit different tastes. Wait staff were extremely helpful and pleasant —especially Mickdad. Muss and Asia on the restaurant door were always happy to greet us when we arrived or left.

Spectacular Zanzibar accommodation

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 weeks ago

Stunning location and accommodation and facilities at this beautiful resort. We enjoyed the spectacular sunsets each evening on the jetty, along with plenty of choice each breakfast and dinner at the self-serve buffets. Excellent customer service from all staff, with a special mention to Mikdad and Musa at our meal service.
