Sea Cliff Resort and Spa Zanzibar

Fabulous - probably our best ever experience of this type of holiday. The situation is glorious, with a view west (great sunsets) over the Indian Ocean. Contrary to some reviews, there IS a private beach, only about five minutes walk from the accommodation, but the coast here shelves very gently so the water is shallow, even at high tide. But the beach itself is gorgeous. Our room was spacious and immaculate and meticulously cleaned every day. The food (we booked half-board) was excellent, with a different themed menu every night. Good range of visits/tours offered and a daily free shuttle service to Stone Town every day (don't miss Stone Town - it repays several visits). But what really made this trip stand out was the staff. Not a single one (and we must have encountered scores over the 14 days we stayed) tailed to produce a cheery "Jambo" and a "How's your day?" There are too many to name them all but Happiness (who greeted us on arrival like we were the most important guests that day), sweet Dorcas (who greeted us like family friends several times a day), Nassor (who laid on the most sumptuous romantic beach dinner for us), Musa (hope that engineering qualification works out for you) and Khalid all deserve individual mentions. They made our stay a lifelong memory for all the right reasons. Thank you all.

We stayed at Sea Cliff as part of a group of 125 people. They were great to work with in the planning stages and from the moment everyone started to arrive the service was superb. A special thank you to Prosper, Rehema and Chef Armando; it was like working with family. Our guests loved the service, but also the resort. The rooms were spacious, comfortable and all had beautiful views of the Indian Ocean. The pools were perfect and there were so many on-site activities for everyone to participate in. Meal buffets were lovely with my favorites being the fresh fish and the nightly fruit mousse; accompanied by evening entertainment. From the first Jambo to the last Karibu, it was a great experience.

Seacliff Hotel - 5*- We choose a Not popular hotel by Israelis thanks to recommendation of a local driver Named Haji Casim who we knew from our last visit in 2016, Is an almost perfect hotel, which has everything. From an infinity pool, the perfect sunset, a state of the art and well-equipped gym, tennis, ping pong, volleyball, pickleball, squash, mini golf,pooltable catamaran, SUP, kayaks( at no extra charge). Horses and golf at an additional charge, We took half board the food was good with a great variety ,alltough my son is very picky the waitress aranged pizza for another restaurat in the resort(they have a few.. There are live performances every night from local singers to acrobatics show.. For us there was no point in full board because some days were not at the hotel during the day. The only drawback is that there is no perfect swiming beach to the hotel, there is an amazing view best sunset in zanzibar and the hotel beach is a 7-minute walk away (or a shuttle by the hotel.) This is the only disadvantage, but in our opinion the advantages outweigh all. But what makes a hotel great is the staff. Doing the extra mile to please you with a smile I commend them all. First of all steve chumba front desk manager. Leaving the hotel I forgot a sum in shekeles equivalent to 3,000 us $. In the safe box when I left the hotel. Mr Chumba found the money and arranged to send it to me back . Mr khamcha in charge of the sports that was always available on whaatssapp even in 24:oo when I needed help.
