Sea Cliff Resort and Spa Zanzibar

We were due to stay at Seacliff Resort in Zanzibar for 10 days and were really looking forward to the trip. Given the regional unrest in the Middle East at the time, I proactively contacted the resort in advance to ask about their policy in case our flights were cancelled. I was reassured that a refund would be possible and that we could discuss the details closer to our check-in date. About five days before our scheduled arrival, our flight cancellation was confirmed. I immediately emailed the resort and also submitted a free cancellation request via Booking.com. Unfortunately, from that point on, I received no response whatsoever—no acknowledgment, no update, nothing. I have continued to reach out daily since then and still have not heard back. Meanwhile, $5,000 has been taken with no communication or resolution. The complete lack of response and accountability has been extremely frustrating and disappointing. Based on this experience, I would strongly urge anyone considering staying at Seacliff Resort to think twice. The absence of basic customer service and empathy in a situation like this is unacceptable.

We spent about ten days at this very pleasant and welcoming resort. We had a pleasant room with a view of the sea and the sunset. The cleaners did a very good job. There are plenty of activities you can engage in during the day. The food selection is fresh and varied and maintains a high standard. Unfortunately, the drinks we ordered were not up to the same standard. The beach closest to the accommodation was not attractive. However, the greatest asset was the always so accommodating and pleasant staff. This resort has a central location on the island. It is easy to get to the nice beaches on the west side by taxi and the hotel's shuttle bus to Stone Town. I can absolutely recommend Sea Cliff Resort & Spa.

One of the best price-quality ration on Island. If you want a resort where all family members can find an activity this is the right place! All the activities are for free including shuttle bus to Spice Farm and Stone Town excluding golf and horse riding. If you are considering a beach holiday, the place around the hotel is not that good for swimming because of mangroves forests, but perfect spot for water activities. The team of the hotel is so much helpful! The hospitality level is one of the best in the island! If you have any complaints be sure the hotel Team will solve it immediately and sometimes at their own cost! Special appreciations for Rahul and Abbas for making the level of the comfort here even higher!

It was a wonderful experience for us. The hotel and rooms were very clean, the staff were very friendly and all very polite.The hotel's surroundings and nature are very beautiful. I would definitely recommend it for families with children and couples. There are many activities for children and for us; you can check the hotel's website.There were shows every evening. Insecticide is sprayed in the rooms every evening to prevent mosquitoes.Mosquito nets are available in the rooms.The breakfast and meals were very tasty and the fruit was excellent. We would like to thank Chef Danile and his team for the meals.We would also like to thank the people who helped us at the restaurant Sarah,Debora,Doreen,Adam,Goodhope and of course Musa.We extend our sincere thanks to Mwana Kame's housekeeping.We would also like to thank Mwana and Sakina for looking after the children.We would like to thank pool attendant Fadhili. And this special thanks is for one person in particular We extend our special thanks to Food and Beverage Manager Mr Abbas and his team. He visited all the tables every morning and evening, taking care of everyone Mr ABBAS not only managed his department excellently, but also showed great dedication to hospitality. He made us feel at home and helped us with everything.We would definitely like to visit this hotel again. Thank you for everything.

I had an absolutely wonderful stay at Sea Cliff Resort & Spa. From the very first moment, I felt welcomed and genuinely cared for. The entire team is incredibly kind, attentive, and highly professional. During my stay, I unfortunately experienced some stomach issues, and I was deeply touched by how supportive and concerned everyone was. The staff went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable and taken care of. A special thank you to Jovina and Aidani at the bar, who were always so warm and attentive, and to the Egyptian waiter at the restaurant, who showed exceptional kindness and professionalism. Their care truly made a difference during a difficult moment for me. It’s rare to find a place where hospitality feels this sincere.
