About the Hotel

Nestled in Oman’s dramatic Musandam Peninsula, where rugged mountains dive into vibrant emerald waters, across a powdery sand beach, the village-inspired resort in Oman offers a range of villas, suites, and beachfront retreats, each with a private pool, traditional summer house and the time and space to find yourself. There’s something for everyone at our Oman hotel, including eclectic dining featuring local and international cuisine, an award-winning spa and a plethora of unique experiences.

To truly know Oman is to know its history, ecology, and culture. Originally, the domain of Bedouin nomad, Oman’s lush northern coast lies between the sea and inland mountains and is known for its warm hospitality. So, like the brave seafarers who sailed out into the Gulf before us, let's go on our own odyssey into the Musandam's sustainability, wellness, and culture. And then come and see us to add your own chapter to our story.

Reviews for Six Senses Zighy Bay

Don't be afraid to travel here, safe, amazing, and perfect.

Amazingly beautiful and even more amazing people staffing the resort. Came here on a short stop over in Dubai and spent two nights, so very well worth it. Part of the adventure is getting here to the hotel. The trip up the mountain was amazing, with stop offs to take it in. Our driver was incredible and knew the best places to stop for us. We felt apprehensive of coming here with all the politics going on, but part of travel is putting aside those fears and realizing that people, wherever they are, largely want the same things out of life. The hotel greeting was over the top, warm smiles, the Six Senses welcome drink, and taken inside to the guest relations area. Once we were done with that, off in the golf cart to our chalet on the beach. Privacy was incredible here, despite other guests, our space was secluded. The room was huge to say the least, outdoor shower area, pool, a small separate bath house sitting area for meditation and prayer. And the walk to the beach directly behind the room was out of this world. Food at the restaurant was spot on. I went with the sea bass and wife had the steak. Price was in par with what to expect. Service was excellent. Our waiter was from Nepal, perfect English, made great suggestions on what to eat. All of it was excellent. Tough part for us was the restaurant on the top of the hill was closed for the summer and unfortunately, we were looking forward to trying that. Also, because of what is happening, you can't paraglide into the resort right now. This just means we will have to come back. Yes the resort is a little pricey but it is no more than you would pay for 4 Seasons or Aman, and you get the same luxury and service. Every penny was well worth it, the view of the Gulf alone made it all worth while. It does take about 1.3 hours to drive from Dubai to the meeting point where you are picked up. You can't drive a rental car across the border so they pick you up at a shopping plaza. We had no difficulties with our car overnight there. From there, is is about 30 minutes through multiple border crossings between the two countries. There is plenty to do here for families, kids, business, honeymoon, or just relax. Fishing was available, diving, cultural tours, or just relaxing. We will definitely be back as the place was amazing. On a side note, our Gem was from the Philippines and he made the stay perfect. He has been with the company over 15 years, he is a reason people like us keep coming back.

Barefoot bliss

Since i had wanted to come here for so long i was a bit worried i'd be disappointed but i needn't have worried as it lived up to all my expectations and more. This place is fabulous. The minute we arrived i could feel how relaxing it was. The welcome was friendly and we were given a tour of the property by our GEM before heading to our room. The rooms are very spacious with lots of lovely amenities and i particularly loved the outdoor shower. They had kindly arranged a welcome birthday cake along with some interesting juice mocktails. The villa's pool was great and even though we weren't front row you can hear the waves from the comfort of your private area. The beach was pristine and the sea refreshing despite the heat at this time of the year. Free ice cream is a nice touch. The salt water pool is amazing for your skin. Both our meals were exceptional with a preference for Spice Market - so incredibly tasty- which was also the location for breakast which had an amazing choice. My massage at the spa was probably one of the best i have ever had. Some activities were not available due to the current situation but after 2 months of stress in the UAE, Zighy Bay allowed us to reset and breath calmly again. There are many posts about how expensive it is - yes it is expensive but not much more than similar places in Dubai and it was all worth every penny. I hope i will be able to go back one day.

Magical experience as always. We opted for the beachfront villa this time which adds to the experience. Lovely staff overall and special thanks to our GEM Sarra for looking after us. Look forward to going back next year!

Run don’t walk to Six Senses Ziggy Bay Oman

Our stay at Six Senses Zighy Bay was truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience — the kind of place that stays with you long after you’ve left. From the moment you arrive, you feel as though you’ve discovered a hidden world tucked between dramatic mountains and the sea. The resort’s quaintness is part of its magic. It never feels overwhelming or commercial — instead, it feels intimate, soulful, and deeply personal. Each villa seems as if it were handcrafted by a group of local artisans, with thoughtful textures, natural materials, and design details that celebrate Omani heritage. There is an authenticity here that is rare and beautiful. You genuinely feel like you are on the edge of the earth — completely able to check out from the outside world and simply exist in the moment. The attention to detail is exquisite. Every corner, every pathway, every carefully curated experience reflects intention and care. Their emphasis on sustainability is not just a talking point — it is woven seamlessly into the design, operations, and philosophy of the resort. Luxury and responsibility coexist effortlessly here. The food is exceptional. Every meal feels like an event, yet never pretentious — just deeply flavorful, beautifully presented, and crafted with heart. The service matches the cuisine: warm, intuitive, and genuinely kind. A must-do experience is paragliding with Itso — soaring over the bay and descending toward the resort is exhilarating and breathtaking beyond words. It perfectly captures the spirit of adventure and beauty that defines Zighy Bay. What truly elevates this property, however, is its people. Taha, our GEM host, was incredible. Attentive, thoughtful, and endlessly helpful, he anticipated our needs before we even voiced them. We truly feel like we made a friend and hope to see him one day at his home resort, Six Senses Kaplankaya. Stephanie at Zingy Bar makes you feel like you are part of the Six Senses family from the very first interaction. She is always smiling, laughing, and radiating warmth — the kind of presence that instantly lifts your spirit. Chakra, our server at dinner and sometimes breakfast, was beyond friendly and attentive. His genuine kindness and professionalism made every meal even more special. We cannot say enough about the friendly staff and the unbelievably beautiful setting. There is a dreamlike quality to Zighy Bay — as if you’ve stepped into a place that shouldn’t quite exist. And when it’s time to leave, you find yourself wishing the dream would never end. Six Senses Zighy Bay is not just a resort. It is an experience, a feeling, a memory etched into your heart forever.
