Nestled in Oman’s dramatic Musandam Peninsula, where rugged mountains dive into vibrant emerald waters, across a powdery sand beach, the village-inspired resort in Oman offers a range of villas, suites, and beachfront retreats, each with a private pool, traditional summer house and the time and space to find yourself. There’s something for everyone at our Oman hotel, including eclectic dining featuring local and international cuisine, an award-winning spa and a plethora of unique experiences.
To truly know Oman is to know its history, ecology, and culture. Originally, the domain of Bedouin nomad, Oman’s lush northern coast lies between the sea and inland mountains and is known for its warm hospitality. So, like the brave seafarers who sailed out into the Gulf before us, let's go on our own odyssey into the Musandam's sustainability, wellness, and culture. And then come and see us to add your own chapter to our story.

We had a fantastic stay at Ziggy Bay. We have stayed at luxury 5 star hotels and resorts across the world and Ziggy bay truly differentiated itself through its AMAZING service, focus on wellness, and vast number of activities making it a great place to spend a few nights whether you want to relax, or be a bit More adventurous (they had over 100 activities to choose from!) Outside the beautiful landscape – mountain tops, sandy beach, incredibly ocean water visibility and warmth - Ziggy Bay differentiated itself through their team. Each guest is paired with a personal GEM – which is effectively a butler who will handle every element of your trip. Ours was Lucia and she was absolutely fantastic making the trip exceptional. I also want to call Alex from water sports and Julia the front office manager. We have stayed at many resorts across the world, and I was blown away with the member of activities Ziggy offered. Everything from paragliding which we did upon arrival with the wonderful Ido, to a private catamaran, to massages and meditation. As mentioned above, Ziggy has a phenomenal wellness program and they even have practitioners from all over the world to come in We were also really impressed with the food offering. Sense on the edge of a must meal, which is their pinnacle restaurant. Finally, a special thank you to Julia the front office manager. We had a small issue with our trip and they went above and beyond to make it right. It’s a Testament to their hospitality and commitment to make sure their guest leaves incredibly happy which we certainly did. Definitely go to Ziggy Bay for a getaway from Dubai or wherever you are. It is promising to be a luxurious, low-key, adventure filled, relaxing, and great food, and most importantly great people based experience.

I don’t usually write reviews of any kind, but I feel compelled to share my experience after my recent stay (17 to 25 September 2025) at Six Senses Resort Zighy Bay, Oman. Apart from its breathtakingly beautiful location, comfortable and well-appointed accommodations, and an array of interesting and adventurous activities, I was most impressed by the impeccable service, helpful staff, and commitment to sustainability. First of all, I would like to thank my GEM (guest experience maker), Marta, a lovely, polite, and very helpful young lady who was always on hand to assist and attuned to my needs without ever making me feel overwhelmed. I also had the pleasure of meeting the resort’s Assistant Sustainability Manager, Maher Alriyami (I hope I have his name right), who very kindly took the time to meet with me when I expressed my interest in learning more about the resort’s sustainability projects. As an animal lover and long-time TNR (trap-neuter-release) volunteer, I was deeply impressed by the resort’s initiatives toward animal welfare and the humane care extended to animals in need. My stay at Six Senses became even more special knowing that I was in a place where both people and animals are genuinely cared for, creating a sense of harmony and tranquility throughout the environment. The culinary experiences were equally memorable. I had a most wonderful Arabic cooking lesson with the chef at the Spice Market, which was both engaging and delicious. Breakfast was a real highlight: a generous spread combining buffet selections with made-to-order dishes. As someone who considers herself a bit of a croissant and pastries connoisseur, I must admit their croissants and Nutella cruffins were to die for—my compliments to the pastry chef. On the morning of my departure, at 4:30 am (well before breakfast service began), Marta thoughtfully prepared boiled eggs and a box of pastries for me to enjoy during the nearly three-hour trip to the airport, as well as to share with my husband at home (who unfortunately could not accompany me). Such attention to detail truly touched me. I would also like to thank Frida (at the Summer House), Lorna (at the Spice Market), and Yusef (at the Earth Lab), who all went above and beyond to make my stay memorable. Their warmth and professionalism truly reflect the heart of the resort. That said, I do feel it’s worth noting that some menu items are significantly overpriced. For example, a simple bowl of Greek yogurt with one sliced banana, some berries, and almonds was priced at OMR 18 (about USD 48). While I understand that luxury resorts often carry premium pricing, this particular example felt excessive and somewhat at odds with the otherwise thoughtful and balanced approach of the resort. Overall, however, my experience at Six Senses Zighy Bay was unforgettable. The combination of stunning natural beauty, exceptional staff, and genuine commitment to sustainability makes it a very special destination that I would highly recommend—with the gentle suggestion that a review of food pricing would make the experience even more harmonious.

One of our best stays ever! We came as guests and left as friends! The service from everyone was so friendly and lovely we felt so pampered. The trip from Dubai airport was quick and efficient, no surprises, big car, fresh water, Six Senses juices, everything for a nice kick off for vacation. We were in villa 59, second row but very close to Spice Market and Summer house, also the beach(MOG amazing beach, white powder sand and such a nice and warm water in the ocean) is 1 min walk as well as the main pool area :). Julius was our GEM and he was indeed Gem, so friendly and approachable and always there if we needed anything. Overall the whole 5 days that we spent there(The whole hotel is so luxurious , beautiful , rustic, like and Oasis) allowed us to fully unwind and relax properly. Food was sooo delicious. Overall we did have a fantastic time. We tried the Sense of the Edge and Oh my god view, food amazing! To end my review I would like to mention few people that made our trip memorable: Julius Thank you for taking such a good care of us, we did really appreciated it, Neeha Thank you 1000 times that you were with us every dinner to chat, to laugh and to be our trusted advisor in the area of food :), Punatri Thank you for the laughs that you had with us! Amazing time and we cant wait to come back :-)

What a breathtaking place this is. We went for two nights which felt like a week of relaxation. The food was healthy and tasty! The service was superb. Sara was our “gem” and took care of us. Anytime we needed something, she was there. A sliver of heaven. I would recommend more road signs to the resort and from the resort back to the border. We got lost both ways.

We had a fabulous trip to the resort. It’s low season so very good value. We had a beach villa that was very comfortable. The wine list is extensive but expensive but with a few gems in there that are (nearly!) reasonably priced. We had great service from our GEM Sanjana and would recommend Yao in the spa for her great massages.
