Mexico's central Pacific coast, home to stretches of white sand beaches, sparkling blue waters, and verdant tropical forests, is also where you will find the fabulous La Casa Que Canta. On Zihuatanejo Bay, this elegantly modern cabana-style hotel is warm and inviting with a tropical ambiance that will instantly relax you. Comforting earth-toned walls and bright tiled floors lead out to your private balcony as well as the breathtaking open terrace living room. Recline on the plush day beds of the living room and listen to the sounds of waves washing ashore, or sit comfortably on your balcony with a perfectly-crafted cocktail. If you prefer something more tropical, simply lay in the comforts of the hammock that stretches leisurely alongside the infinity pool.

We had a wonderful stay at Casa Que Canta. First, I’ll say that I was a little nervous to go because of the news reports about Mexico. Turns out there was absolutely no need to worry- everything is safe and normal in Zihuatanejo. We’ve visited twice before and it was as peaceful and beautiful as ever. We stayed at the villa called El Ensueno. The hotel staff is exceptional- they made us feel so welcome and comfortable. The food was amazing, the rooms were clean and bright with gorgeous views. The pools are warm and well designed for both swimming and relaxation. Thank you to Ramona, Chef Carrie, Yesenia, Jose Luis, Eloin, and the many others who made our stay so special.

We stayed for a week at El Ensueno, one of the villas, and it was fantastic! First of all it was VERY SAFE. The home includes full time staff and overnight security. But the town was peaceful and full of folks just enjoying the beautiful beach and laid back atmosphere. The rooms and decor are excellent and well maintained, very clean and peaceful. Meals are delicious, tailored to the preferences of the guests (we had kids to feed as well) and drinks and snacks are available anytime. The staff could not be kinder nor more attentive. Every room has its own private infinity pool and there is a stunning large pool for the house to gather at. We loved how everyone could gather comfortably around the pool and dining areas. This house and the main hotel that it is a part of is well worth what you spend.

If you are looking for a first class experience - this is it! The property is absolutely beautiful, and they have 25 unique rooms located in three different buildings with sweeping views of the bay and ocean. The staff is incredibly helpful and kind (thanks Semey and Dina!). The dining is wonderful and reasonably priced - don't miss the tamarindo margarita at your sunset dinner! They have an infinity pool and saltwater pool, both with great views. One of the nicest places we have ever been to.

Our time at La Casa was wonderful. After spending several weeks there in late January and early February, we've already booked our return for 2027. As longtime guests, we've witnessed La Casa become a beloved retreat not just for us, but for many others. During this visit, we reconnected with fellow regulars who share our affection for the property, and we also met younger couples experiencing this treasure for the first time. (This property is designed for couples who are looking for a peaceful and tranquil getaway.) What draws us back year after year is the seamless blend of natural beauty and outstanding hospitality. The property itself is breathtaking, and our room offered those spectacular sunsets we've come to cherish. The heart of La Casa is its people. Many of the staff members who welcomed us on our first visit decades ago continue to greet us today. The experience begins the moment Isabel meets you at the airport, sharing updates about the latest happenings at the property. Teresa welcomes you with genuine warmth that makes you feel you've truly arrived home, checking in regularly to ensure everything exceeds expectations. Laura was equally attentive, offering invaluable local insights about where to explore and where to skip, and even assisting with hotel deliveries. The restaurant consistently delivers excellence. Every fish dish we tried was fresh and flavorful. Pavel provided thoughtful service at dinner, graciously accommodating our dietary preferences. Tony, Jared, and Valentino formed a remarkably cohesive team, attending to us with friendly professionalism throughout our stay. Irving, the breakfast and lunch manager, ensured our daytime dining was exceptional. Irving is personable, attentive, and knowledgeable, particularly regarding dinner recommendations and local seafood preparations. He is simply the best. Eloin, Nicholas, and Fredi, who worked alongside him, were equally delightful—sincere, welcoming, and always ready to assist. It's rare to find a place that exceeds expectations visit after visit, but La Casa continues to be that extraordinary retreat we can't wait to return to.

Nice property, very friendly and helpful staff. Nice meals, we had mostly seafood during our stay. We had a smaller room with a private balcony. Nice pool area and wonderful views, particularly from the restaurant at night. The only 2 downfalls about it were the lack of tv in the room, and no dedicated beach area. I missed having a tv in the evenings. If you're a beach person rather than a pool person, I may choose a different spot. We spent a good amount of the time but laid our towels in random spots because there aren't any beach chairs available for guests here. And also no beach service, obviously. Plenty of restaurants within walking distance, and some markets to get drinks, etc.
