This place is truly a hidden gem. The location, the staff, the property, the food... everything was top notch. We stayed in 2 rooms while we were there (the room we originally wanted was only available for 1/2 the time). Both were fantastic. The food and service at the beach was incredible.. Highly recommend this place.

Adriana and her team went above and beyond to make our trip perfect in every way. The food was amazing. The beach service was exceptional.

The hotel was spectacular as was our stay from start to finish. Outstanding location, relaxing yet festive. Everything we ate was delicious as were the beverages. The staff are so friendly and attentive. No complaints. Will return!

My wife and I have travelled to dozens of countries and stayed and numerous resorts and to say this hotel is special is an understatement. The location is incredible, the hotel is immaculate, the food is great and the staff is exemplary. I would change nothing about this place and its one of the few places I plan to regularly return to. My only hope is that it never changes! Francisco the server is probably the most exceptional servers I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. I hope this hotel takes care of its staff because they are what takes this place from a beautiful luxury resort to that next level of comfort.

I started staying here in the 1980's, before it was the Thompson. The hotel has always been beautiful and the beach is great; but the hotel itself seems to be declining. The food is uniformly mediocre (at best, wait staff on the beach is very sparse and spotty, you will get the room they give you as opposed to the one you want, and overall they don't seem to put the effort in that the prior owners seemed to pride themselves on. It doesn't totally suck, but it is not what it once was.
